Richt: 'Not in the plans' to return to coaching

lol another jackass misusing the word “privilege”

It takes a special kind of coward to be as tough as you are online. I remember you personally attacking anyone who didnt think CMRs offense amazing and didnt think we would roll LSU before last season started. I even started a thread after LSU just for you and eat crow but you disappeared for a bit. Glad your back doing you!

"That would be an interesting thing," Richt said.~

He'd actually be a great choice for that- especially after some of the questionable at best prior members.

Sorry I missed your ghey little thread. Funny, I don’t remember any threads where I called his offense amazing...maybe you can point it out.

Also, what kind of a dlckbag starts a thread to prove they were right after a loss. Oh yeah, fake fans like you that like when we lose so you can say you were right.

But none of this doesn’t change the fact you’re a low rent that doesn’t understand the “privilege’ word.

And cut the tough guy routine, I’m not impressed.

If you can’t take getting called out for saying stupid shlt, don’t post, and go back to whatever stupid sht they do in Manitoba.

I started the thread hoping I was engaging with a man who could admit when he was wrong. Clearly that wasnt the case. You spent time personally attacking anyone who suggested LSU wasnt going to be an easy game. And disappeared right after! That's who you are! Just accept it.

Honestly I use to think you were a member of the Richt family by the way you post. But now I realize you probably dont have much which is why being a message board goon appears to be very important to you. I love my canes, but I only have the ability to critically think and can give an honest assessment of what I believe to be good and bad about the team. We arent perfect. And pretending we are only makes you look foolish.

Tough guy act?! Besides calling you a coward, which you were for attacking multiple posters and then not responding to an entire thread with your user name tagged in the title, I think I've been pretty respectful. I dont post to insult anyone and try my hardest to be fair to coaches and players (as I know their families probably read this board). Ive only gone for coaches, especially after they have publicly berated players for their own mistakes. I dont think you can say the same.

And yes, when someone can be unsuccessful at his last two positions, to a point where one his bosses forced OC hires on him and the other contemplated stepping in to remove CMRs own son, and CMR still comes out and say he's done coaching, that is privilege. The same way Urban Meyer can have multiple scandals at previous places of employment, quit when these scandals start to become public, and still be considered for top jobs around cfb. The only difference is Urban has a proven track record of winning championships. CMR is just considered a nice guy who will make admin, alumni, etc comfortable.

Priviledge is described as: " a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group." In this case, Urban has earned the right to be considered for future positions with his on-field success. Hes a snake but he wins! CMR is a guy who has had disappointing results in just about most big games hes coached. He had UGA thinking 9-3 was the goal every year. Watching them now, you can see the potential that was wasted during this time there. At Miami, winning wasnt as important as winning his way. He wanted to show everyone he still had 'it', which he later agreed the game passed him by and retired.

For CMR to be immune to the current landscape of cfb so much so that he has to come out and actually say he's done coaching is amazing to me. Hence, the idea that he is in a privileged position. Not too many people can be essentially fired from the same position at two different places and feel the need to publicly state that they are not interested in that career anymore.

Now, one things for sure, you definitely arent worth an in-depth response like that and I highly doubt you will actually read it. But, just in case someone else might not understand my use of the word priviledge, I hope my response sheds more light on my position.

Happy Easter to all!
Go Canes!

Best way to sum up whether Richt has any sour grapes about anything is that he wants a Canes vs Georgia national title matchup more than he wants to be a coach

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Mark Richt, making his first public comments since stepping down as coach of the Miami Hurricanes in late December, said Saturday that he has no current plans to return to coaching.

Richt, in Orlando to announce his new role as a studio analyst for the ACC Network during Miami's spring game Saturday, said he decided to retire after the Hurricanes' 34-3 bowl loss because he felt it was the "right time."

"There's no easy time to do it for sure," Richt said. "Especially when you're the head coach. That's the hardest part is how it affected other people. I felt it was the right time for me as a person, and I felt like Miami would be in better hands."

Richt said it wasn't a decision he considered during the season.

"It wasn't like I planned it," Richt said. "It wasn't like midseason or even a year in advance or whatever, but it came really when the season was over. I was thinking about the possibility of it and then, by the time the bowl game was finished, between myself and God and my wife, it was the right thing to do."

After going 10-3 in 2017, Miami struggled to 7-6 last year. Offensive woes plagued the Hurricanes, but Richt, who called the plays, said Saturday that athletic director Blake James never told him he had to make changes to his staff, which included his son, Jon as the quarterbacks coach.

Asked whether the offensive frustrations impacted his decision to step away, Richt declined to comment.
Richt, however, said it's just "not in the plans" to ever coach again.

"I'm really excited about this ACC Network opportunity," Richt said. "And I think I can help the fans enjoy the game more and understand the game more, and it allows me to keep staying involved with this game of football. And it also gives me time to see our grandchildren more and our own children. So right now, I'm mostly focused on that."

And if the College Football Playoff selection committee came calling?

"That would be an interesting thing," Richt said.
Who gives a F*** !? Richt should not be allowed to coach the same way that a socialist shouldn't be allowed to be a politician.

My friend... if the voting base in America is looking for a handout or some sort of government assistance... we will vote in socialist politicians and there ain't shiit we can do. Oh but we all will pay dearly for the brain dead ignorant masses.

You spent time personally attacking anyone who suggested LSU wasnt going to be an easy game.

Wrong.

The above quote is all I read from your ponderous tome. I’m sorry you wrote all that, but I’m never going to read it. I’m not going to indulge your pathological obsessiveness and mental defects.

Please find those posts where I personally attacked people for thinking LSU wasn’t going to be an easy game. Unless it was talking shlt to LSU fans.

Good luck.

We all need to remember this is a family member who left in a classy way while not inflicting any damage on the program. When he was hired hand, I hammered him hard but now he is just a long time family member and deserves respect. Remember, in JJs first three seasons he lost two NC games with better teams than Mark ever saw anywhere. Leave this man alone. He was not getting fired and could have stayed and done more damage, like others have.

It was refreshing to see him make the decision quickly and not take the university for a ride about his remaining salary.

He wasn’t a very good football coach at the end but he set up some of the important infrastructure needed for us to be successful in the future.
