It's one of the main reasons he surrounds himself on Offense with Yes-Men. He wants no part of being challenged or questioned.

He's not used to the big city/large media market and the pressure it can bring. This ain't the SEC where almost all of the schools are in podunk towns where the sports media is full of good ole boys who kiss up to you.

Naw, but he could say something to the effect of “You know as a coach we’re exploring all options at this point. The guys have played their heart out, the coaches have coached their hearts out, and we’re all disappointed with how this season have gone. My job is to make sure I have my guys prepared and look at every facet to do so.”

See how simple that is? I can do this fluff talk in my sleep b/c I’ve now seen 15 yrs of this bull chit.

Unfortunately Richt is beginning to show very eerie signs of Goldenism. Remember how defensive Golden used to get for his butt buddy D’Onfrio’s defensive scheme in yr 3? He used to be real PR then he became gun-ho to prove that the defensive scheme worked and he started throwing out Total Defensive #’s to justify it. When that didn’t work, he then used the proverbial word “execution” and then catch phrases like “everyone do your job” when it began failing. Well, as he became gun-ho to prove the players, fans, and media wrong about their broken defensive system, the alienation in the locker room began, and we kept getting worst and worst as a team.

Just change the defensive storyline to the offensive story line and now we have what Richt is beginning to do. Lol if u think play calling duties will change. It’s why he took this job and he has Blake and the BOT by the nuts, daring them to force him to do anything. See that’s what happens when u prematurely extend any coach (again, see Al Golden). And double LOL if u think Richt cares about “his” school. History has shown he does not. He’s on an ego trip right now to prove everyone wrong. Becoming wise in his own eyes will be his demise.

Exactly!!

We are almost in the exact same place at almost the exact same time as we were with Golden. Coaches saying the exact same things. It is truly amazing.

Your offense is virtually the worst in college football...maybe all of football if you consider the talent you have....yet you are tired of answering questions about the offense. What are people supposed to ask you about...? What do you honestly think people want to hear about most?

You get turnover chain or sandwich questions when you are number #2 in the country? When you suck they are going to ask you about it.

Key phrase I will hold on to is "at this time." It is not the first he has mentioned words similar. I think he knows a change needs to happen. Be patient my friends. He cant just change the O overnight especially if he plans on bringing someone else in to run the O. Tweak where you see fit and let the youngins get experience.
