bottom line nycane is clueless dumb and not a factor. You make really stupid posts you get what you deserve. If you are an adult , shame on you

dude ***** off. i provide a ton of accurate info. Last year when people were saying golden was fired, i confirmed he wasnt. when they mentioned certain players were committed, i said they werent coming here. i predicted the media would push for mario, they did. look at other night when everyone was celebrating butch, it was me who said "Relax". Its something that has been said about the guy. i dont see it. i think his teams push hard whether in practice, workouts or on the field dont need lectures from u.

"I don't know what you're saying. Why don't you just say it straight up."

the fact of what happened against bama in 2012 at the end doesnt make me think less of him because I remember Butch against Washginton in 1999 and a few other games he coached. no coach is perfect. even saban has made blunders.

your obviously an ego person so you are easily dealt with. Do your do diligence, pleased you are a cane fan wish you and the our canes all the best. BYW I appreciate all your inputs and tidbits, they keep the cane nation going. We need more of you guys for sure. I went to my first game in 1952 and have been hooked ever since. That 2012 game was on Murray, IMO. I thought he made a terrible pass, and went to the wrong receiver. There was no reason to throw the route he threw. Based on their field position, he either need to clock the ball or throw for the end zone. He wouldn't have gained much if the pass was clean, and the kid got out of bounds. I have a hard time believing Richt drew it up the way Murray ran it.

But Richt protected Murray by not throwing him under the bus, even though that was Murray's error.

It is really unfair to judge a man who has not even coached a down of football with this team yet. I do understand that he is a very soft spoken person that is a firm beleiver in his faith. I have absolutely no problems with that at all! I wish I had such strong convictions about my faith as he does. People on this forum have openly criticized him for not being tough enough, when a large percentage have never been inside of a locker room with this man and have never played under this man. He has given us instant credibility just by being a part of the organization. There is a palpable buzz about this school once again and we owe that in large part to Mark Richt. There has been a lot of negativity around this program for so long, and for the most part, a lot of it was justified. The lack of investment in to the ifrastructure of the program to the lack of commitment from the school to invest in the program itself. It took them over 10 years to figure out that you can't win national championships with a bargain basement coaching staff. The fact of the matter is this ladies and gents. Donna Shalala is gone and so is Golden. D'Onofrio has most likely got all of his stuff in a UHaul truck as we speak. Let's get some positivity infused back in to the program! Lets fill the stadium and get some funds invested back in to the program. Go Canes!!!

i agree. murray would have mental brain farts all the time. he was a talented kid but his popularity really grew when his mom hit the social media world.

"Nice coaches can't win"

you do not have to embarrass your players on tv to be a good coach

THIS! Watching Saban lay into the dude who committed a penalty on a kickoff return vs Florida was a reminder of how much I dislike that ****.

Exactly. Pete Carroll takes a massive, enormous dump on Saban. Guy not only built the dynasty in college, but he won in the NFL, where Saban was a joke. And he's as nice as they come. Met the dude, genuinely cool as fvck and chill guy.

Players will run through a wall for coaches they respect. There are a lot of hard *** coaches that fail because the players knew the coach was full of ****. It was an act, and eventually falls on deaf ears. Greg Schiano is an example. There are a lot of 'players coaches' that fail because the coach never commands respect. Larry Coker is an example.

Bill Parcells was a hard *** and most of his players revered him. Even divas like Keyshawn Johnson and Bryan Cox. Why? They knew what he told them was the truth. Good or bad. Tony Dungy always thought of himself as a teacher more than a coach, and wasn't one to yell and scream. Warren Sapp said in an interview he played hard so he wouldn't disappoint Dungy.

Both coaches won Super Bowls and are (or will be) HOF coaches.

Both are great leaders who commanded respect but also showed they could be trusted.

I don't know the context, but it looks like Richt got ****ed when his team started celebrating after beating Vanderbilt. Good. We need some of that. Golden having the team celebrate like they just won the national title after beating USF 6-3 and after almost blowing the game against Nebraska this year was sickening.,

Yeah I don't think he liked their celebrating at midfield like that after the win.
