...at one thing so far--recruiting the current draft eligible players like Coley, AQM, and Elder.

Compare this to the last bozo who ran off or failed to get any vets to stay. The fact that these guys are already buying in and are juiced to stick around after how toxic their 3 years have been with constant unrest and banners flying tells us they're buying in early.

That's a great sign because as much as the dopes want to talk about not needing guys like Coley and AQM and how it would just free up more scholarships for the nerds to fawn over before they turn on them in favor of next year's new crop, you need veteran, physically-developed talent like this if you want to win 10 or 11 and not 8 in year 1. The HC needs to convince the vets to buy in and not just do the easy thing and run them off.

Very good early sign here with all these guys sticking around despite what's probably been a pretty miserable football experience for them for 3 years.

Our depth at WR is horrendous next year. Very happy Coley is back.

The terrorist? No business what so ever going pro. Glad Elder is back. I suspect you see Byrd and Elder starting by the end of next year opposite each other.

I also want to see what the long term statements from players are about actually having a S&C program with coaches that have legit credentials and their impact on the team is going forward. Ya ya ya the political bull**** aside my mind is simply blown that we had a guy who didn't have the BASIC certs.

Chise you workin without a law degree bud? Rhetorical....**** no. My mind is simply....wow.....I digress

The culture change is going to be stunning. Richt basically came in and flamethrower'ed the entire dump. Who fires a secretary? Richt. Love it.

You fellas tamp down the enthusiasm before one of the internet geniuses jump into this thread
to remind us to fuel the banner planes and get them on the runway.

Guys leaving early always hurts he team. Hopefully this will improve the maturity of a notoriously immature team.
Dumb penalties were onl rivaled by dumb play calling.
This team need to be a lot smarter.

Coley probably felt more comfortable with a guy hired a month ago than Golden trying to sell him a used car for the last three years

Agree that's a huge deal for richt to get back 3 starters who should be impact guys on this team. Not sure any of the 3 stay if the last regime stayed.

They changed the way the advisory board lets kids know where they are going to be drafted. Evidently its supposed to be 2nd round pick or they tell you to return to school. Coley saying he was a day 3 pick sounds likes BS. According to whats been reported he would have likely officially been told to return to school. I think all these guys were told to return to school.

Also says alot of his staff choices.

The players must love it.

coley is waiting on beard. day after they pick his replacement, they decide to staff. no one in media has any clue what richt is up too. half these people had richt replacing al golden and keep[ing the same staff.

Bringing those guys back are vital for immediate success. There is no reason Miami can't win 10+ next year. They've got one difficult OOC game (ND), and its in October. Otherwise, Miami is playing all of the same characters and none of our in conference road games are difficult (UVA and VT both breaking in new coaches themselves, GT, NCST). We should be favorite in each. FSU, UNC, Duke, and Pitt are all at home. 10-2 at minimum expectations. Those are much more realistic with the upperclassmen returning. If we can get a couple of key players, all four and five star kids, to step up on the OL and DL (St. Louis, Chad Thomas, D. Jackson, Darling, McDermott), those expectations should be very easy to meet.

If we would've lost corn unc, Notre dame, Florida state, and duke would've torched us passing the ball

Hold on! Richt actually fired a secretary? LMAO! Nobody associated with that last abortion of a staff was safe from The Grim Richter!

You come to play at Miami and you deserve at least one incredible year. Hopefully the kids staying can finally get that year. Double digit wins, corstal crown, maybe even the ACC championship next year. It's right there if they are willing to do what it takes. Get something to be proud of with their college experience instead of 'holy ****, I can't get out of here fast enough.' Running out of the smoke is going to mean something again!
