Richt Extended

I would have waited another year because I rather he feel a little heat and he isn't going anyplace but it is not like they are going to fire him. The biggest problem is the university's horrible track record with extensions more than Mark's pros and cons. In then end, if Mark wins a NC, this is great move. If he keeps losing 3,4 or 5 games a years, it is a big mistake. Last year was Mark's best start ever and only time he ever got to 10-0. That is either a great sign or worrisome fact.
Well this was spot on.

Can someone answer why was Richt extended? It’s not like the situation with Golden where his agent hustled the AD and convinced him that Child Rape University was going to swoop in and get him.

It wasn’t a situation where a school can negative recruit us because it is clear this is Richts last stop.

Only thing I can think of his the AD assumed good times were ahead and Richts agent said based on his client getting the ipf and all the positive buzz and the $1million the least you can do is extend him.

Just annoyed that no one in the BOT raised his hand and say why are we negotiating against ourselves? Why extend him for one good year where he fizzled at the end?

Positivity after OP is no different than new BF (could say GF, but let’s not offend any ladies reading here) who acts and plays the part that is every lady’s dream. Then gives her an engagement ring also known as IPF, then is completely awol in his duties and ***ts the bed every time. WWYD? I know she’d be bit****** every single opportunity, especially when she can’t end it overnight.

Sad that I'm was only 1of 3 who disliked Mork's ext from the jump

I think for most people Richt wasn't on their wish list because most kinda felt he was a failure at UGA. It was until names like Schiano and Cristobal started popping up that made Richt more appealing despite his failures to win with an entire talent rich state all to himself.

We all at some point felt that all we needed a good-solid coach who could recruit at the level we thought Richt could and it would get the ball rolling because we've seen it before under numberous HCs here.

The cane shades are off and our real opinion of Richt (before the hire) is beginning to surface and that opinion is Richt is who we thought he was before his name ever surfaced for the job, a failure at a big time university in a state loaded with talent. A constant underachiever, a master of disappointment, and a HC doesn't have the ability to put together a championship team even with 15 years to do so.
