Great move - CMR got us to a 10 win season, orange bowl appearance, coastal champs, paradise camp, and an IPF all within 2 seasons. Time to take the next step!

You seem to not be able to compartmentalize issues. I don't like Mark as the head coach here. That doesn't automatically give it a nexus with other on going issues with the team. Some it does, some it doesn't.

We can revisit this extension after he puts out an inferior product this year as it relates to last year. He get's his extension and will immediately follow that up with a 2-3 place finish in the division. But golly, he's a great guy.

If Miami beat a bad FSU team(mind you that team was composed of 4 straight top 10 recruiting including 3 top5 in the last 4 years) then wtf FSU fans take credit for beating Miami the prior 7 years.you see how dumb that sh*t sounds. It’s a rivalry game, take the L and move your duck *** up on out of here

Go back and watch the entire season. Miami was not better at the end of the season. I don't care that they lost their starting RB, TE and top WR. The rest of the team didn't really improve.

That is on the coaches. All you do is point to the 10 wins, and then magically make up excuses for the season ending 3 game losing streak.

Why are you posting on a Miami board if you’re not a Miami fan ?

You point out that we barely beat a bad FSU team. They barely beat us with the worst defenses in the history of Miami defense, and the worst head coach in Miami history. A win is a win. And we had 10 of them . Yea we got lucky some games but that’s part of the game.

So you’re not currently making excuses for the 10 wins? I don’t care what FSU did the rest of the season. They had a better QB than us, better recruiting classes, and unlike the rest of the season they actually tried to beat us. They still lost.

I would have waited another year because I rather he feel a little heat and he isn't going anyplace but it is not like they are going to fire him. The biggest problem is the university's horrible track record with extensions more than Mark's pros and cons. In then end, if Mark wins a NC, this is great move. If he keeps losing 3,4 or 5 games a years, it is a big mistake. Last year was Mark's best start ever and only time he ever got to 10-0. That is either a great sign or worrisome fact.
 
Great move by UM, but unfortunately now we will most definitely not get a quality Coach, Jon Richt just got tenure on UM's coaching staff. Watch for him to become the defacto OC in waiting at UM along with Ron Dugan.
