Wondering if ACC Network analyst Mark Richt interviews Miami head coach Manny Diaz.

What kind of questions would he ask?
What kind of answers would Manny give?
Examples:
"What kind of shape did you inherit the program?" Answer: "Horrible offensive scheme. Out of shape players."
"Why did you fire the offensive staff and S&C coach?" Answer: "I already answered that!"

Could be fun if Manny lets loose (which he probably wouldn't).

In all likelihood, ACCN would probably have someone else conduct the interview unless MR really pushed for it, but given the recency of it all, it might be awkward for them to do that this soon. I'd look out for that interview to be later this season, perhaps as a part of the lead up to UM/FSU assuming Miami is a top-10 team by then.

If Miami stumbles out of the gate, nobody will care.

Man that has to be awkward for both of them.

Personally, I think Manny Diaz is very thankful for Coach Richt. If I remember correctly, I thought I heard/read that Richt retired so quickly in order to have Diaz take over the program?

Oh, and get off of Richt's nuts. He did a lot for this program that hasn't been done before.

Exactly, coach richt always wanted an even hinted at coach diaz taking over after him during a year 2 press conference when people started wondering if coach diaz was coming back and coach richt made a comment domething to the affect of: "In my opinion, coach diaz doesnt have to go and get a job to get the job, he's capable of getting the job right now".

Coach Richt took the job that nobody else not named Butch Davis wanted. He did a fine job as coach and really helped to erase some painful "Golden" memories....name once during Golden's tenure that we had magical moments like we did 2 years ago in S Fla vs ND. Richt got us to the ACC Ship berth, nobody else did that, not Shannon, not Golden... CMR is a great man that was at the end of his coaching career. I think he was really done after UGA, but when Miami called, that opportunity was too good to pass up.

I cant imagine Richt actually doing any interviews. I can see him being part of a panel answering questions and or giving his take.

I was just having a little fun with this thread. :)
I like Richt. He had us all excited with the long winning streak, beating FSU to end that tortuous losing streak, and crushing Notre Lame.
And helping us get the IPF was awesome.
But obviously he got worn out last year.
And he left in a classy way.
And now on to a new era!
Hopefully Manny has as much success during the season as he appears to have had this offseason!

Lets just leave Richt's legacy as the IPF, Notre Dame 2017, and the guy who introduced us to Manny.

and who beat FSU twice and who won the first ACC Coastal Championship and who snapped a bowl game and who at least recruited well of enough for 3 consecutive years to give us a chance at success and stability with a new bright young head coach

“So....does this Enos fella know about four verticals and fades to midgets”?

If that interview was to take place I bet anyone both Diaz and Cmr wouldn't be disrespectful to each other.some here don't realize it but Cmr could have stayed thumbed his nose at us fans and the university laughing while cashing that 20 million dollar check.the old saying don't never kick a gift 🐎horse in the mouth 👄.

Bashing Richt is played out. I was never a fan of the hire but he left us with better facilities and a much better roster than Golden did. He could of stayed around long enough until we were back to square one but he didn't. If Manny succeeds then Richt will be shown in a positive light in our next 30 for 30.

And donated 1 million out of his pocket to the IPF, and left a FAT contract on the table by choosing to retire, he could have forced a buyout for a couple million but did what was best for the program.
