Richt adds Track star to roster for Fullback Depth

Obviously an experiment to see if the kid can adapt to football and be that compact powerhouse that can lead block and open holes. Jimmy Graham although familiar with football, practiced and played only one year of college football (or 2 ?) before he became an NFL Superstar. Never know until you try and give it time. Plus teams use offensive/defensive linemen all the time as lead blockers.

Might be a great blocker to keep Kaaya safe. I'll take a former Rugby player, usually tough as nails. Nice pick up, he's worth a shot!

I guess its okay to rip on someone because of his heritage if he happens to be from Italy. I am reporting this thread and the insensitive comments to Andrew stat!

I'll be shocked if this guy ever plays a meaningful down !! The closest he has come to playing football is he has "some rugby" experience. For all we know that means he played rugby with his grade school buddies in the schoolyard.

So he is 6'0, 270 and maybe he even runs a 4.5. Don't care !! If he has never played football before ,I cant trust him on the field at the college level.

Mike Rumph has taught players from Pee Wee up to high school. Baez was also a high school coach. Both of these guys know how to teach extreme basics to people that are new to the sport...In addition, he will have 2 jobs...Run and hit someone, or stand next to Kaaya and make sure nobody touches him.

There have been numerous rugby and shot-putter/discus thrower types who have excelled in college football, and some have made it to the NFL.
Margus Hunt was a discus/shot-putter at SMU, switched to football late and now is on an NFL roster.
Fullback is all about toughness and smarts, and he already has the size and athleticism for that position.
