Richie Cooper, WR, Hallandale

Jesus, Hallandale is loaded.

This is the type of kid a great recruiter will take and turn into a stud. Punt return, kick return, slot. The type of kid that slips by Miami and ends up in the NFL.

THEY SHOULD BE......

My area is wide open.....

tHE hOLLYwood/ hallandale area ....as my alma mater aint doing sh*t...(Mcarthur)...Chaminade aint recruiting up a storm....an S.Broward/Hollywood Hills have been terrible for years...alll the good kids comin gout of middle school will go to whichever school won the most games the year before.

A legit coach at Hallandale should be able to do something.....as Carver Ranches Optomist, West Park , have been fielding legit teams..(My former teammates run both parks).....guys like Sony Michel were suppose to go to Mcarthur or Hallandale.

Carver Ranches has been legit for the longest. The Miramar/hollywood/Hallandale area always should be loaded
 
I really think we should pursue Cooper. Staff needs to be hot on the trail of Callaway and Cooper.
 
With most thinking Calloway is heading elsewhere, that would leave UM's WR choice to be made between Richie Cooper and Jalen Julius (4* ATH from West Orange HS in Orlando, Fl) who ran a 4.31 sec 40yd time at the Ga Tech camp this summer.

An this year Julius has been a touch down machine for West Orange.

Take both. Julius could play other positions if needed and I love what he brings to special teams. Let's see what Callaway does first.

Pete said staff is pursuing Richie now. Could definitely see him filling in that role of a down field threat. He's short but so is Dorsett. You can't teach speed, what made Miami was speed. How you gonna tackle a guy if you can't reach him?

I didn't know if the staff was actually pursuing him or not back then but good to know they are now.

Richie watching him. Actually reminds me Travis Benjamin. Maybe its the dreads. But very similar size, Richie a bit bigger than Travis at the same age. Electric, fast, makes some tough catches that I saw Benjamin do at Glades and the U, taking the reverses out of the backfield. What I liked most was some of the blocks he set up in the run game.

I am hoping Miami's Staff was on the phone with Richie Cooper today offering him a committable scholarship to UM at this point with theses decommitments UM should have room.

He committed to Akron. We can't fend off a beast school like that for South FL talent.......

Another last minute flip to Miami tommorrow night should not be a problem for him. An he is a former Booker T Wash kid before he changed high schools so Tim Harris should be able to real him in even if it is last minute.
