Richards weight room gains

Good point, kaaya came in actually overweight weighing 225 plus and the coaches cut his weight considerably.
It don't matter the 2 toughest qbs I saw last year was deondre francois and Lamar Jackson and each weighed 205 or less and they took hella hits

Jared Goff was like 6'4" 175lbs as a true frosh starting QB for Cal. He stood strong in the pocket and took a beating all year.
Nkosi is bigger/stronger/more athletic than Goff as a frosh. I don't think his size will play any role in whether he wins the job or not. His accuracy and knowledge of the playbook will.

Interesting comparison, but unfortunately Goff was 1-11 as a Freshman.
I don't think Perry's weight will be a factor in his success or failure as a true Freshman.

The comparison to Goff's record is pointless. Cal was terrible outside of Goff and a couple of receivers and had absolutely zero defense.

He's not 190 lb! And he won't be 200 come the season either, but who cares, he will or he will not win the job based on something other than weight.

"To the extent that Richards needed to adjust to the higher level of competition in college last season, it did not seem to affect him much, if at all. No freshman recorded more receiving yards than Richards’s 934, a total good for sixth in program history among receivers of any class. This ranking may well be too low for Richards, a special talent with room to grow. Yet with no established successor to quarterback Brad Kaaya, it’s best to take a wait-and-see approach in evaluating Miami’s passing game. Richards can’t make plays if no one is able to consistently deliver him the ball. "

To this day they under value our players. Forget we had the 3rd most draft picks (2 picks behind the #1 school of Meechigan). Never mind we got UDFA cracking the NFL top 100 last year and starting for playoff contenders this year. Never mind, even in our lean years, we're still producing pro bowl players. All these media outlets will see the light soon. As a matter of fact, I don't need them to see the light; just see AR become an All American and get drafted in the top 15. Hate SI
 
Remember Joe Montana who played for ND and Niners...well he was not big and did not have a big arm. However, he was mobile and accurate QB. Perry Rosier Weldon and others are going to be prepared and coach by a season experienced teacher, which is something Harris Morris and Kaaya had their college football careers. Rosier job to lose by Perry and Weldon have better skills. Again, I would not put too much focus on QB this year because the strength of team is defense and FG kicker. We must make teams play the long field and reason we must find a punter too.

Correction: Kaaya Harris and Morris did not have a QB coach. Rosier job to lose but the freshmen have better QB skills
