I lived in New Orleans during Rodriguez's tenure as OC at Tulane. He took a miserable offense and made it a dynamic one. Tulane went 7-4 and 11-0 in the two seasons he was there after not winning more than two per season the previous five years. Of course good quarterback play is essential no matter who the OC is. I like Rodriguez as an offensive mind.
his teams barely give up sacks. van dyke, and our two rb recruits under him would be lethalGuy fits in everywhere he's been...players Love him....
I have this impression that he asks his QB's to run too much which would wear them out, especially when post season comes. Did you notice this about him. or did he pass more later in his career?I liked him here in AZ but it was his stubbornness on running a 3-3-5 defense that hurt him, the offense was always humming. He would do fine here just calling plays. He only had one year ranked in total offense outside the top 40. They finished 38th, 15th, 35th, 30th, 20th, 97th, and 5th in the year he was fired. They averaged 33.8pts during his time here. That is better than anything we have had in a long time. I'm not saying hire him but he would't be the worse choice either.

He would prefer to have the QBs run more but he always adapted to the QB's strength. Matt Scott was an avg at best runner but good passer so they threw more. BJ Denker couldn't throw at all and so he ran him into the ground. One thing about Rich Rod is he's never static in anything he does.
He's had 4 top 30 offenses in his last 5 yearsHis offense was creative and effective for the time. Worked well at Tulane, Clemson and WV. But he's not been as impressive since. College Football has changed and he's no longer cutting edge.
