It's laughable that we keep seeing his name mentioned for HC positions for what he's produced so far. He's been solid overall but he's generally underperformed against the toughest teams. He's giving me vibes of a Manny type coordinator that looks good relative to mediocrity on the other side of the ball.
The defensive showing yesterday overshadowed his poor performance against a mediocre UNC defense. The expectation going into that game was it would be a high scoring game with two strong offenses, yet their garbage defense littered with first year players effectively shut his offense down with several 3 and outs until garbage time.
The offense is obviously far better than the garbage last year but personnel is also far far better (QB).
