So dont hire someone with the potential to be good.....OC/DC that doesnt want to succeed or move up........... So you want the team to be mediocre so the coordinators dont leave.......

Yeah, uh, this is a good thing to have with your coaches...
 
If he kills it and gets hired as a HC, then another stud rising OC who wants to be a HC will be running to Coral Gables to take this gig.

Your doing something right when your coaches are being poached for HC positions elsewhere...
 
If he turns the offense around and the defense falters leaving us at 6-6 again, he'll get the Miami job based on previous hiring patterns.
 
I’m a lot happier with the idea of embracing modern offensive football schemes like a variation of the spread than I am Bc it’s Lashlee in particular. So if he is a head coach in two years, it must have gone ideally. He turned the offense around and earned it through production. He can go chase goals and Miami will have the foundation he left.

If this happens means we got our offense humming and we win 10/11 games the past two years played in a NY6 bowl game and have been fighting for a playoff spot

Just so I understand, you’re saying you’d prefer to hire an OC who doesn’t want to be a HC?

I never said don't hire him... I'm not sure why you guys are taking this post as bad thing. I'm just saying if he actually does turn the offense around he will likely not be here for long

You clearly don't get this post. I think it's a great hire but it's going to suck if he actually turns the offense around because he's going to get a HC job
 
If gives us a top 35 offense and we win 8 or more games, he’s done exactly what was asked of him. If he is offered a HC job why shouldn’t he at least consider it, I certainly won’t hold it against him.
