I could get behind Art Briles as OC. However, once the chains are broken and he’s allowed back in the club he’ll be hired as HC the following season, assuming he’s successful.

Probably get two seasons out of him before he gets another HC gig, which is fine. If we get two years with a top 10 offense with Briles and Garcia, I think we'll be in good shape to get another top OC when Briles leaves.

Biggest thing going against him now is his 65 years.

And if USC’s offense is good, but they lose more than acceptable, they could fire Helton and promote Harrell. They (fans) were clamoring for Meyer but he wasn’t biting. One reason they didn’t fire Helton was the buyout for him and his staff was around or more than $20M.

He hand-picked his QB last year. Moore is one of the best WRs in the NFL (miss me if you don't think he's top 10), Anderson is good, Samuel is useful in the slot.
