Rewatching the game on ESPNU

Don't we have a game to prepare this coming Saturday. Yes, PITT so I look at the glass half full and not half empty. I've turned the page long time ago. So, concentration is on Pitt.
You do realize that whomever you concentrate on will have no affect on the teams performance, right? If Miami looks off for the Pitt game, I am not expecting the announcer to say, "Miami just doesn't seem prepared, and I think it's because several fans were still focused on that Clemson game".

Blades got held so bad on a bubble to Rodgers he spun around like a top, right in front of the line judge. 2nd and 20 vs 3rd and 3.

Oh well. We got our **** pushed in. Gotta own it and go run the table.
Being that we continually gave up 3rd & Long, I’m going to assume even if the missed calls went our way, the outcome would remain the same. It would’ve just delayed the inevitable

Of course. They’re a lot better team, with far more continuity, better coaching, and a generational player at the most important position in sports.

In order for us to beat them, we have to play our A+ game. The refs had nothing to do with the fact that we were nowhere close to that level.

The thing about the rewatch is you watch a little more clinically since the outcome is already determined.
The number of third and longs that got converted is insane. The first couple of drives we played two down gave a first, played two gave up a first. If we had an athletic linebacker who could keep etn honest it would have been a totally different game.
If our linebackers had better coaching and better alignment : we asked our backers who have very little instinct's to run from inside out through all kinds of traffic . Also have we defended the counter yet, we always seemed to get destroy on the backside :

the problem is the mistakes that happened in Clemson, will somehow surface again. I have faith in Lashlee, not so much in Blake

Lots of flow not enough responsibility. When ETN is leaking out or a TE is dropping into the flats away from the flow of the OL and QB someone always has that responsibility and our guys tend to flow with the QB and when they have to react the opposite direction it is too late and the lack of speed doesn't allow them to make those initial missteps.

Some things can't be coached. Desire and athletic ability can't be coached. 4th and short your OL that weighs as much as their DL gets pushed back. Hunger and pride can't be coached. On some plays our coaches would have had to of had Clemson's playbook and at the same time know the exact play call in order to put our LB in proper position. They couldn't get there.

Then you say you trust Lashlee more? Our D kept us in the game so don't you mean the reverse? Seems like people hate on Baker because it is just the cool thing to do. This is a game we were supposed to lose so let's see how we come out against Pitt.

Kudos for watching it over. I won't re-watch it for the same reason I don't watch my wedding video. I lived the nightmare once and that is enough.

Our defense kept us in the game : I must have missed something. In the first quarter we had the ball for what, one possession, but Clemson had for two drives that went for scores. Second drive went 19 plays for 79 yards. We gave up a 3 and 14 on a swing pass that actually was received 6 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Here is a stat, we average giving up 19.5 plays per game of 10 yards or more. Worst in the country

You're crazy man. No way I'm watching that twice. Granted I do rewind a lot of plays and make my way through the game slowly, almost like watching it twice, so whatever.

Can we bury any penalty excuses please?

We didn't do ourselves any favors in that department either.
3rd and long. Clemson gets a holding call. We likely get the ball back on this possession. Then bonehead Carter dives nose first into Sunshine while he's sliding.

That Carter penalty ultimately cost us 7 points.

I've rewatched the game, we are going in the right direction. This game was ALOT closer than the score. We ratteled miss Lawrence. I feel good for this coming game.
huh?

550 total offensive yards. And Miami rattled that Hippie signal caller for Clemson.

But if it makes U feel better. Then go on saying the game was closer than the final score.

We had dropped balls. If Mallory catches the ball or pope catches the ball we could have lost by 10 points. The defense played ok. I understand that if and the could have. we are a better team than the score. That's all. We should beat PITT by 3 td's

The defense didn’t play ok! They were horrible!

You are 100% right in the first quarter on the first couple of drives.

We tend to start games slow on defense and if FSU had a QB they may have scored on their first drive.

Offense kept them on the field, you know the guy in charge is who you trust over the defensive guy.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't UM on defense consistently rank inside the top 20 nationally? Big plays and/or 3rd and long are a problem including last year but see first sentence in this paragraph. I am not enamored with the starting LBs but I am not sure they can be coached up as you say...Hence them nowhere to be seen on your swing passes.

For me the verdict is out on everyone but if you go back to some of my posts I have always said that this game and the rest of the season are the measuring stick. We **** it down our leg I am on your side.
