Reviewing the Classes- The Class of 2009

Lack of development has to be a bigger issue than Evals right? How the **** do we manage to **** up every 5 star recruit for a decade. There are only like 15 or so per class so for us to happen to get the worst ones every time just doesn’t feel probable….

I mean I guess it could be argued that we only “won” those recruitments because everyone else knew what was up. But that still seems like a stretch

i just scrolled the class of 2009 IN STATE rankings.

@DMoney That has to be one of the weakest years in florida history. lol

The #1 in state player that year was a 5'11-6'0 270pd dt that went to FSU. Jacobbi Mcdaniel

One of The best player in that entire class may be this guy.

He was #244 RANKED in state.

Looking at the top 10...id say Trent Richardson and Aaron Murray played to their abilities. Though richardson bust in the nfl. Lamar Miller was better in the nfl than he was.

But 1-50 in state its so much junk and mid in there for that year.

If it was any year tog o national it was this class....whoosh.
the royal mess up was not getting geno smith and his wrs in.
I was the Stedman Bailey guy n Geno guy on grassy that whole cycle.

I had to take a look at the state rankings after reading this and was Chris Carter’s kid the one who started the SFL WR to OSU trend that’s still going on now?

Was the teammate of Luther Robinson. Read his story and his coach was selling us Mack very very hard (pause) i think he even camped and looked extremly good but we didnt pull with the offer. This happened to him alot because he didnt play much ball. But this wouldve been a lay up...and that guy has been a beast.

There was talent that year in the tri county we missed on geno Smith,Jon bostic,Ed Stinson,stedman Bailey,Jayron hosley,Josh Robinson and denard Robinson all 7 of those guys were blue chips and ended up getting drafted ,plus Rodney smith had a good career at fsu.Bailey,Denard and Hosley were 1 team All Americans
