Revamping the site

@DMoney, I think it would be great to offer additional badge options to members who bring credible, reliable information to the site.

Some probably would not like that additional attention, but I do find myself just searching for cribby, adamcanes, and leeds emojis and a handful of others for legit information and perspectives anymore.

Just a thought when I can't hunt through all the threads and pages but want the insider tidbits.

Please add feature to mute certain phrases disappearing the poasts, but not the poaster himself. For example, "rat poison." I do not want to read a poast nevermind a thread with that phrase in it. Nothing good can come of it.

You can choose to “follow” any member you wish. Just click on their name, and in their profile there is the option to follow member.

Then if you click on “Your News Feed” at the top, it will give you a feed of new posts just from the members that you follow. So then you can get the updates from the posters you want, like Cribby, etc.

Standardize the main navigation on desktop: leave the Forums ⌄ (down caret) for consistency regardless of where you're browsing. Just a small annoying issue that I don't see any downside to rectifying.

Been working on a bunch of stuff behind the scenes, but figured this was a good time to make this post: What are some of the things you want to see from this website and app going forward? We are revamping a ton of stuff with the presentation, articles, and features, so let us know what you want to (or don't want to) see.
My suggestion would be to add the automatic dark (or light) mode 👀 whatever mode your phone is in, the site will also be in that mode.

Suggestion: Dedicated live game threads with Reddit-style commenting

Right now, live game threads are just regular discussion threads, and the UI is too spread out for fast-moving game conversation. I’d suggest a dedicated live-thread experience built for real-time posting:

Auto-updating feed — new comments appear live without needing a refresh.

Newest sorts to the top so the latest reactions are always front and center during the game.

Threaded replies — users can reply directly under a comment and nest responses, exactly like Reddit.

Compact UI — tighten the spacing so 15–20 comments are visible at once instead of a handful.

Together this would make game days much more engaging for the users who hang out on the site during games, and would likely keep people on-site longer through the full game.

@DMoney before you do ANY site changes, I think you need to ask a different question first: What is CIS?

Is it simply a community for posting, debate, conversation, and inside jokes? Or is it rather a place for content and articles? There’s no wrong answer.

But the answer to that question greatly changes what changes need to be made to the site. If you want to do more content (video and/or articles), then you’re competing with On3/Rivals and 247 and you need to lean more into other things that feel more like that, like having easier access to commitment lists etc; right now I go to other sites to see all that. Right now it feels a little 50/50; we have a board and suddenly this influx of amateur redundant articles that people clearly aren’t vibing, but it’s not a full Canes content site, so it feels incomplete.

I work in this space (hence the handle) and would love to have a more in-depth conversation on it.
A thread or tab for all of our commitments with their info and hudl would be amazing

Can we change the background color?

Instead of getting paid subscribers by making the site completely unreadable thru excessive advertising, you could have better content.

- Whatever you do, don't ruin the "magic" of the Tears threads
-- One of the best things going on sports boards and others are envious
- Keep usability front of mind
-- How is site laid out for users?
-- How is search functionality?
-- Draw users in with design and layout, don't frustrate them and push away (you might be best served by asking some secret shoppers for ideas)
- MORE @CIS Al Bot everyone loves it
The ole rider snuck in at the end of the bill, eh, Empy!? I see it and you will not subjugate this muppet!

How about allowing people to block/ignore certain writers? It has been mentioned numerous times here. I don’t want to come on here and see 47 articles per day.
