What’s wrong with tagging the Aggies? Nothing, unless she wants to lose her press pass and access. Or cares about the fact that the overwhelming majority of her "news consumers" are Miami fans who may not appreciate this and may immediately stop consuming her news. They’re news consumers, too. Isn't everyone? So then why tag anyone? The news was relevant to them, too. By that reasoning she should have tagged every team on our schedule and in the ACC. We play Middle Tennessee State in 9 days... she didn't tag them.
And you don’t think they’d find out anyway? That's a bit of a strawman in that it evades the actual point (i.e., that our beat writer has no business going online and expressly broadcasting our injuries to the opposing team). Regardless, this argument cuts in two directions... if they were going to find out anyway, why did she need to be the one to tell them? She is the only font of nformation? I'm not entirely sure what you were getting at here because of the typo. That said, if your rhetorically pointing out that she isn't the only source of information, that would only seem to provide even more reason that she didn't need to be the one to report it to the Aggies. And if it's not a big deal, I'd be curious to know whether you can point to instances where beat writers for other P5 schools are putting out injury news and tagging the opposing team. I get the feeling that sort of stuff doesn't happen at Alabama, OSU, UGA, or Clemson.
People get too sensitive on this board. Or, there are too many trolls and fake fans on this board. It's all a matter of perspective.
