Restrepo speaks then deletes

What’s wrong with tagging the Aggies? Nothing, unless she wants to lose her press pass and access. Or cares about the fact that the overwhelming majority of her "news consumers" are Miami fans who may not appreciate this and may immediately stop consuming her news. They’re news consumers, too. Isn't everyone? So then why tag anyone? The news was relevant to them, too. By that reasoning she should have tagged every team on our schedule and in the ACC. We play Middle Tennessee State in 9 days... she didn't tag them.
And you don’t think they’d find out anyway? That's a bit of a strawman in that it evades the actual point (i.e., that our beat writer has no business going online and expressly broadcasting our injuries to the opposing team). Regardless, this argument cuts in two directions... if they were going to find out anyway, why did she need to be the one to tell them? She is the only font of nformation? I'm not entirely sure what you were getting at here because of the typo. That said, if your rhetorically pointing out that she isn't the only source of information, that would only seem to provide even more reason that she didn't need to be the one to report it to the Aggies. And if it's not a big deal, I'd be curious to know whether you can point to instances where beat writers for other P5 schools are putting out injury news and tagging the opposing team. I get the feeling that sort of stuff doesn't happen at Alabama, OSU, UGA, or Clemson.

People get too sensitive on this board. Or, there are too many trolls and fake fans on this board. It's all a matter of perspective.

SMD isnt really press...she's a hobbyist...this is hers.
and I believe she loves the Canes...basically you have an uber fan with a "press" card...that's all.

This is a statement against Restrepo. You can say it isn't, but it is. Restrepo is our best WR and TVD's most comfortable target. Honestly, I don't know which matters more i.e., being the best WR or our QBs most comfortable. He's a big loss.

Respectfully, if TVD and Brashard can't find a similar connection, or TVD and George, then it's a failure on our side. I do not see Restrepo as a Devin Hester or Santana Moss level player, though I acknowledge he's a great Cane and super valuable ... as Smith and George need to be.

what does Devin Hester have to do with this?

Gonna miss this!

I am more nervous about punt return now. I am confident in him fielding the punt clean. Big loss as a reliable receiver no doubt but hopefully an opportunity for someone to seize the moment.

Same for me. I wish he could just be used like Richt used Njoku so many times in 2016.. bubble screen teams to death with him on the perimeter. Force corners to tackle someone 6'5 245 a few times. Trust guys like Redding and Ladson to make blocks on the perimeter against smaller DBs.

Not even sure he's capable of that. However, I think Arroyo can do it. Even Skinner - just doesn't have the 245 pound presence to make them hesitate if they don't want to tackle but it could work off of athleticism.
He can run pretty fast straight line...This idea i think would work...hit him a few times on bubbles he should be able to fall forward for 4 yards...i dont even trust hm on the outside blocking dbs.

His draft weakness will definately be his blocking....But based off of him being a UM TE and if we osmewhat feature him even a little bit the rest of the day he will be our nexy drafted te.

I like Arroyo a lot...in fact im a fan of the entire TE room...

I like Brantley more than most. I think he could be an asset out of the slot if he got more chances. Might be the case sooner than later.
