Restrepo signs as UDFA with Titans

We don't know that. His MO was to be the face of the program. By sitting out, that just didn't fit the persona he's built.
He knew he had to run well at pro day / combine to get drafted and since he didn't ultimately, its a fair bet he knew how difficult that would be. Any even minor injury could have made a better time, or even the 4.8 impossible. His margin was super thin.

He was banged up going into the bowl game. The injuries also did not help his 40 time.

Wouldn’t he practice run before a pro day and know his own time? If you know you are going to run a 4.8 because of injury/weight/whatever seems like it would be a better decision to claim an injury and skip the 40 on pro day. He has to know that a 4.8 40 means he wasn’t getting drafted.

Might make sense though if he was aware he was graded as a 6th - 7th rounder even if he ran a decent 40. Ultimately this worked out better for him because he was able to pick the team with Ward.

I haven’t bought a jersey in probably 20 years but I’m tempted
