Restrepo is not hurt

The guy has worked his *** off since the day he got on campus and deserves everything coming his way.
At one time he was viewed as an *** kiss and a try hard. That culture is dead and the try hard culture is the standard. When working hard and doing things right is viewed as a negative by teammates the culture is trash. He’s now the face of the program and his work ethic is trickling down.

The receptions, yards, and TDs are obviously amazing to watch.

But the play below is the type of shït NFL coaches are going to salivate over. Textbook block on his initial man and then even chips the guy in support to seal the perimeter to spring CJJ for a long TD.

I fũcking love this kid.

I mentioned this play earlier this AM. Unselfish player that does everything he can to win. How does one not love that ?

I liked the comment from Chase Daniel during his breakdown. He didn’t know who X was just kept calling him “the receiver”

He said something along the lines of “I don’t know how the receiver here knows it’s a CB blitz, but he does” when X pointed to the UiF DB

Ward got all the credit for that but X was hollering and pointing at the cat blitz and you could see Ward look and go gotcha.

I just got chills reading this. The level of work and preparation is something we have not seen around here in a LONG time. Feels great that Mario is bringing it back. I for one am going to enjoy every minute we have Cam and X for this one season.

It wasn’t too long ago that a bunch of the jabronies on CiS were treating him like a mascot and trying to get him replaced with the newest shiny toy. Restrepo said, “hold my beer”, put his head down, worked hard and showed every last one of the dolts that doubted him for whatever reason that he’s the best WR on this team.

Ultimate underdog. A lot of fans didn’t think he deserved a spot so he wasn’t accepted early on. Teammates were resentful because his effort and work ethic made them look bad then catching strays because he was friends / golf buddies with enemy #1. To the point there was people hoping he’d leave.

Kids a g in my book and been one of my favorite Canes in recent history. We should be so lucky to have 10 guys like him.

I swear I shot the biggest load ever when I saw that live last night. I’m still feeling a little raw.

Came to make this comment - if you want to see what makes him truly special, watch what he does when he doesn’t have the ball.

And for anyone who ever mocked him as a try hard, Phukc you. Football is an effort sport.

X is going to play a lot in the NFL. He's such a flawless route runner who is also a willing blocker. And when the play breaks down, he's the QB's best friend because he'll keep working back to the ball. Incredibly smart player, too.

There’s going to be a NFL staff that fall in love with him pre and post draft.

He’s an all time Cane.
wherever zo is.....and we also got dan morgan and glenn cook (browns) in places.

The u guys alone wil be interested but kid is gonna get sold by the staff to everyone regardless what he does at combine if invited.

The power of culture is undeniable. When you have cats that grind like X, Ward, and Bain, you learn that this is how we do it (cue the song). Those that don't wish to grind become the oddballs.
