Restaurant Recommendation for Hogtown, FL.

Unfortunately, my daughter has been going yo school and living in Gainesville for going on 8 years now. This joint is probably the only restaurant we’ve eaten at worth recommending.

I believe the owner/chef is from Miami

Recently went “Glamping” just outside of Gville. Family thing, don’t ask. Ended up going to Embers and was pleasantly surprised. Not a grits guy but my dad is, so we ordered the spicy prosciutto cheese grits as a side to the steak and they were amazing. I’m now at least open to the idea of ordering grits at other places.

My suggestion would be to bag up a lunch before you leave the house..a P&B sandwich gotta be better than anything you’ll find in Hogstown.

Ember’s is a bit pricy for the quality , overrated imo . The top is good. The bar and table is another one always hear good things about.

Prime and Pearl is probably a good choice for a nice dinner. Less old school than Mark's Prime but just as good.

For casual dining I'd go for The Top or Bingo Deli.
