Reports say Tate didn’t show for practice today

The kid's been coddled and had his *** kissed since early high school days, so it's understandable that he would struggle with rejection of not being the man. That's ok. Hopefully, he'll suck it up and get his *** back at practice knowing it's a long season. But if a 24-hr cooling off period isn't the answer, then see you later, pal.
This is where I am at. No need to attack him but you are either a Cane or not.

Dunno what to think of it yet. Could be either. Prolly somewhere in the middle. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Hope it's the case that the competitor in him caused a butthurt freakout that stokes his rededication to make Enos and Manny regret the decision with enough time and distance.

Hope it's not an entitlement fit that validates all the media scrutiny and reality TV portrayal of the character he has some responsibility for cultivating.

Really tho - I look forward to any scenario where any of the 3 complete a wild success story for this U, given the myriad of scenarios that can unfold over the course of this season.

If JDub goes down for a bit - Lawrence like, then either Thate or Kosi shine cause they stuck it out and got Enos'd up just right to step in... Who's it gonna be?

If either Thate or Kosi go *****ass? Then sayonara; expect the next MAN up.

Both go *****ass?

Best to figure out as early as possible. Bring on Matoochy.

Hadn't yet chimed in on how proud of Manny and Enos for not doing the hype thing and starting Jdub. so, LFGO!

So, all the other competitive kids that were also emotional because they didn’t start, could still be at practice, but Tate should be looked at different? Guys like Perry and many others that lost out on starting positions, had their butts at practice. Heck, Kennedy transferred here and was pegged to be the starting LT, but he’s hasn’t cracked the starting lineup since he’s been here....not even during the Spring, but he hasn’t missed a day of practice. Perry, especially would’ve caught **** from fans if he’d miss practice. But instead, many of you coddle and make excuses for Tate.

Manny and the coaches said they’d put the players in difficult circumstances to get a sense of who they are. You find out a lot about a person when there is adversity...when they’re under pressure. We found out a lot about Tate yesterday.

Missing practice yesterday showed you all you need to know about Tathan Martell. It showed a lack of mental toughness. It showed he’s not a team player. It shows he’s not a leader if things aren’t going his way. It showed he’s not a fighter. It also showed a sense of entitlement.
My man you said it better then the writers who are still making excuses for Tate and any other fan that’s ready to criticize Perry at the drop of a hat.

Tate is now in my book a cry baby. Nothing about him shows he’s a man. He knew that one guy was going to win the job. So did he feel that he was entitled to be the guy....based on what?

Would've been awfully self-absorbed by Tate if that "get to work" tweet right after he learned he didn't get the job meant to get to work in the portal.

Besides, transferring immediately is a stupid move. Better to stick around and see how the first few weeks of the season unfold and then make a decision a la Kelly Bryant. Just doesn't make sense for him to leave right now.

I feel really bad for the kid abut I really hope he doesn’t quit and keeps fighting.. He can still get some packages to get in and may even end up being a great slot receiver if he gives it a shot
Why? Unless he was promised the starting job, in writing, he has no one to "blame" for not getting it but himself.
