Relationship with Enos leads to UM offer for 2020 QB Webb

we have some ridiculous fans. You offer early to build relationships. Nobody said they'd take him today, although the GA recruiting guys said he'll be a 4* by Summer

This is an early offer. This is for a 2020 QB. You don't dole out conditional offers to that position. If he's truly not a take and a back-up option, you keep it that way. And I'm glad this staff isn't taking the Jon Richt approach of focusing only on one QB. Beck, to me is the better option, but if Webb wants in now, I'm good with it.

Got through 50% percent of his tape and I can say with confidence that he’s going to rise through the rankings. He’s throwing like he’s a baseball player so there’s a lot of potential for that arm to get stronger just based off mechanics. Real good athlete for 6’4, is asked to go through reads which means he’s trusted when reading coverages (looking at you Kosi), and l like his touch while throwing. I don’t remember clearly but I believe Trevor’s Comp was real good. @brock could probably answer that better than I could.

Every other school recruiting Beck has also offered other QBs.

Beck is clearly priority #1.

His competition is fine. He lost one game this year and it was to the same team that beat Trevor the year before. The kids has been in a better QB room than anyone on our rooster.

Who could possibly want a Cartersville QB, they play subpar football and produce overrated players like Trevor Lawrence - Clemson (sarcasm).

yes but they play a subpar schedule. they do play some tough teams. just what it is in their area.

pretty good. Nice arm, shows he can throw off platform, pocket awareness, good athleticism, pretty good accuracy, the really only bad thing is he stares down his targets.

Good feet, quick release and very good arm strength. Has pocket awareness, more mobility than I expected with only 3 rushing TD’s. He looks bigger than 6’3” 185, so I’m thinking his competition is on the smaller size in the highlights.

His HS coach just resigned to take a position coaching job at a D1 school (yet to be announced). The Cartersville job pays $120k, interesting to see who goes after this one.

I like the confidence but lets also be realistic kid. The talent Miami now has at QB you are not going to come in and start. If that is really his mindset he isn't a good fit for here.

Soooooo let me get this straight you don't want a recruit to come in with the mindset that he is going to do his best, and believes he is going to do his best to win the starting job? You believe a recruit with the mindset of not coming in and earn a start but coming in and biding their time is a good fit here?

W....T....Frickety F?

I like confidence but I also like someone that is more aware. He’s a 3 star no name. Gimme a break. So if he doesn’t start does that mean he transfers where he thinks he can? Fine line.

Dont like that he expects to be an immediate factor in starting year 1...

Probably sees how Trevor Lawrence took over an won a Natty year 1 and this kid was his backup and thinks hes all world now
