Things are slowly unraveling for Golden. Recruiting was his last claim to fame and hes floundering.

HOLY F*CKING SH*T. This has to be the dumbest F*CKING thing I have ever seen posted on this board. LMFAO. So we shouldnt be ****ed at the kid who basically said he was "standing behind his word" and commitment, and then bails out at the 11th hour. No he gets NO blame, its all the staff's fault. LOL. Our staff convinced this kid to go to Stanford. Do I have that about right?

Yeah go ahead and talk **** about the recruit every time somebody decommits and then get ****y when the staff is criticized. Valentine got paid, Powell had bad transcripts, Bethel sucked, Gibbons is low character. **** off ******

The kid decided to go to a school he and his family felt was better for him academically. It's ultimately the kid and his family decision not the fans. Based on what he said, it had nothing to do with the staff or the football program. So don't understand what u think the staff should've done differently. He wouldve been a cane if it was up to me(fan) but my last name ain't Gibbons!

Most recruits usually find out if they got into Stanford around this time which probably explains why he flipped now. I get it was very late but I can't get mad at the kid for deciding to attend one of the best schools in the world.

I'm a positive guy by nature. Even when **** gets real. But Cane4life is on a ******* island. Every time we've had a coach stumbling towards his ultimate demise there has always been that one guy. For Shannon I remember Bigpoppacane. For Golden it looks like it's Canes4life. Oh well, at least he really is a true Cane and not some troll. Enjoy the island!!!
 
100 percent on staff. Obviously the kid did not value those relationships cause he cut ties after one day at Stanford
