Utah Valley takes 6 to 4 lead into B9 against Oregon…
I am sorry but that was a bull**** call at home regarding malicious intent.

Takes away run and kid gets thrown out and can’t play tomorrow. Catcher was blocking home.

But I enjoy the smaller schools giving these bigger schools trouble.

Ole Miss going down was sweet.

Dude came out throwing off big time off speed junk. Nice job closing it out.

****** wild. I am all for the chaos, I love the upset of course it's what makes this tournament and the NCAA basketball tournament so great - but I don't agree with the call here at all. They spent 7 minutes reviewing that and I just can't see how they came to the determination of no obstruction / "malicious" contact. What was the Duck supposed to do? I mean I thought he did an admirable job of at least kind of sliding and not Pete Rosing the guy. I guess the raise of the right forearm? But that looked more defensive to me. IDK, whatever I mean it's over and they're in the loser's bracket. Crazy play.

That is 100% the right call and should have been called on the spot. People may not like it. But by definition that’s the rule. “Malicious content” supersedes the obstruction. Every team should practice this/know this…but it’s an iq play and travel ball could care less about that.

So, like Little League ... when in doubt, slide? But like others, I didn't see anything "malicious".
