nc state is not a school that kids go to because of grade casualties.
is relatively the same as miami in terms of qualifying
I went to NC state personally, applied to both Miami and state. one cost a few grand, the other 50 so chose the reasonable one
Come on man. I live in NC. Nothing personal, but NC State and Miami aren't comparable Undergraduate institutions. Miami rank is like 45-50, NC State is like 85-90.

“relatively the same” is the wording I used. Miami is harder to get into yes, but are they going to go to NC State if they don’t get in?
NO, they will go to West Virginia, Marshall, etc
Miami is not head and shoulders above any other institution.
Also very different for athletes they are not held to the same standards that normal students are(typically)
if you’re not ivy school or duke then not much of a difference imo
NC State accepts 60% of applicants, Miami accepts 38%
I think the recruiting fog of war is setting in....causing confusion, disorientation...either that or he went to NC State so he doesn't know any better.
Irregardless of anything on there, I posted those links so I know its 58% for NC State and 38% Miami.
However what does that have to do with Reginald Henderson? NOTHING. which is my point
Are you arguing over institutions? obviously Miami is better I never said it wasn’t. My point is, football players can get in anywhere they want to unless they are handicapped or are just completely lacking of motivation. Lamar Miller can barely speak and Frank Gore was known to have a 3rd grade reading level when graduating high school. He got accepted to Miami right? or am I mistaken? I know I wouldn’t have gotten accepted to Miami if I had the gpa of any of these prospects. They get in wherever unless they are just completely irresponsible and don’t give any effort. They are given any and every opportunity to get a free ride at Universities that otherwise would turn them away in normal circumstances.
Football players have different standards. Those stats are for normal applicants. Half of these kids coming out of the counties would never be accepted to these institutions if it weren’t for there athletic aspirations
I’m not bias toward NC State, I hated it there and transferred. I’m just saying just because Henderson is leaving doesn’t mean it’s because of grades. The average GPA for incoming freshman weighted at NC State is 4.14. You think these recruits are rocking that kind of gpa? I sure don’t.
They have to get a 2.0 and not get expelled is the gist of it from what I understand after following recruiting the last few years
If it were a grade casualty they would be headed elsewhere is all I’m saying. Theres no way miami would deny someone from grades and another ACC institution would accept them, there isn’t that much disparity when dealing with these recruits. If they meet basic requirements all institutions make exceptions. It’s much more likely that he actually wanted to go to NC State via playing time or relationships with the staff, or Richt pushed him out because he didn’t want to honor the scholly.
