Regarding S&C - Swasey

I've watched the coach Swasey debate from the sidelines for the past decade plus. Ive never weighed in because both sides' arguments always made sense and I had no idea who was correct.

That said, whether coach Swasey is a gold S&C coach or not, sometimes you just need to turn the soil completely over before replanting next year's harvest. Im in the camp that says its time for a change at S&C. Dude has been here for 14 years now. Coach Swasey himself should want a change in order to take the next steps in his career.

These guys are young millionaires hanging out in Miami during the off-season. They're not exactly at the height of training mode. They're partying and relaxing and occasionally meeting up back at school to get some work in and make sure they don't report to camp completely out of shape.

UM more than any school has that bond among alumni. They just like to meet up, get back on campus, and relive the old days with their bros. These kids would come back and work out at UM if DannyBoy was the S&C coach. Ya'll act like hordes of NFL players are flying in for the expertise of Swasey.

Honestly the dude has stolen so much money from this school over the years, using his little "I'm th reason the players come back" scam to stay employed. It's really disgusting that he has to enlist his buddies.

If I recall we had former players touting Randy, Cristobal, Kehoe, and on and on.......get the political friendship bs out of my face. He's been a ******* joke here for so long I'm sick of it.

B/C he's their personal trainer. He's probably pretty good at spotting dudes during their offseason maintenance program.

What he is horrible at is running an 85 man offseason conditioning program. I still can't believe people fail to see the difference between what he does with former players one on one and the job and demands of a collegiate S&C coach. FFS people.

Richt just canned his former roommate. He is not going to allow pressure to dictate who he retains. Keep in mind every local HS coach was probably in his ear to retain Ice. That did not work either.

REALISTIC best case scenario would be he stays with the same title but only works on speed and we bring someone else in to do strength training/conditioning.

He's failed totally at speed, never seen a Miami team this slow.
