I would love for us to hire Jeff Lebby. Probably not going to happen. Applewhite and Scott seem to be the most hyped names. Brian Wright is another name. Toledo has a presence down here recruiting wise. I expect the hire to be someone who uses a dual threat QB and has a offense with spread principles. We were at our best last year in the spread. It’s plug and play for the athletes down here. I’m a pro style supporter just as much as I’m a base 4/3 supporter. I think our most crucial hire is the OL coach. We need to hit that out the park. Scott has never coached QB’s. Not alarming but definitely worth noting. If he is the hire, we have to bring in Ponce as QB coach.

First 2 responses to just a regular post are douchey, CIS at it finest.

Word to the wise. Unless you're ****ting on something related to the football program or breaking jaw dropping news, you'd be better off not starting new threads because you will get a lot of ^.

63 Posts and you post this?Being a base 4-3 supporter is crazy and a pro-style in this day and age is nuts.

Must be a old guy, they go by either 30 or 40 fronts now, based on down linemen, linebackers get subbed out or taken out of the box based on offensive alignment, if you want base 4-3 then we go back to D'Onofrio's defense.
Pro-style, offenses are fluid and incorporate all sorts of ideas, if best to have every formation possible to attack the deficiency of the defense. Why start yourself off by putting yourself in a corner with a "style"?

D’onofrio runs a 3-4. Before you come for someone, know what you’re talking about.

And you do know we are a base 4/3 team.

Personally, I keep waiting for them to bring back the flying wedge.

I’ve gravitated towards Lebby too the more that I read up on him. Don’t think he’ll be the hire because it’s too risky right now, but maybe can be an option down the road if the OC we hire this year moves on to a HC gig.

Here’s a write up from Tennessee media outlet highlighting the potential Lebby has as an OC. Idk if they officially moved past him as an option, but apparently Ole Miss looked at him as well.

Probably waiting on Jeff Scott to finish his last game tonight, interview him in the next couple of days, and then make a choice.

A read option spread to go along with the 4-2-5 defense we have now will win us one or two more games off of scheme alone. Also that 4-2-5 defense is the best in todays college football world bc it matches up better against spread teams, which majority of teams run.

It allowed Jaquan to roam a lot more.

TCU was the first team I seen run the 4-2-5. I remember always choosing that playbook on the NCAA games, back when WVU ran the 3-3-5 with Rich Rod. I hope Miami runs the spread option, a Chip Kelly type of offense.

The Offensive Staff could be:

OC: Broke D*ck Dog
QB: Limp D*ck Dog
OL: No D*ck Dog
RB: Needle D*ck Dog
WR: Dusty D*ck Dog
ST: Dirty D*ck Dog

And some of you will still say, "It's a great staff. Manny knows what he is doing."

Just relax......
