Agree. We will need to add another QB, if they want to ride with him and JB during the spring and see what's up then fine, but unless he's absolutely dominating in spring and wins the job right away we need to bring in another guy.

I read it as he’s being brought in to compete for the starting job. If Taulia waiver is approved, then of course he’s a back up in that situation.

I do not have an issue with that in theory, but our roster spots are apparently so limited that we cannot target DBs in the portal (position of dire need IMO), so not sure it makes sense to use a spot on this kid now.

At least he fits the profile. Dawson likes tall QBs with big hands who are accurate. The guy apparently visiting is 5’10” guy with a 57% completion percentage. Makes sense.

We have limited schollies. I’m not seeing it unless it’s a PWO situation. We can bring in a grad transfer or someone who gets beat out in the spring after we see if Taulia gets his waiver.

I think we are targeting some veteran players for DB. The CB from NC State and an Auburn grad transfer CB. But I do agree with your point wholeheartedly.

I have no opinion until I see the result. Taulia would be a great plan B. If it drags on past the semester starting to post spring it would be a very bad look.
