Recruits believe in Mario more than fans of the program believe in mario

Was there not unparalleled excitement for the past 9 months about how good we were going to be this year with our elite staff, only for fans to do a 180 in freaking September already and say we have no talent and this is a long term rebuild? Perspective and a good memory can help you from falling into the same traps year after year…
I wouldn’t say unparalleled excitement. Many, including myself, were cautiously optimistic. There was a buzz generated with the Mario hire and with good reason. Obviously, his results thus far are not what many, including myself, expected.

The Cormani commitment is exciting regardless of our win/loss record to this point. And that’s my point. We can be disappointed in the on the field performance so far and still be excited about the event of the day.

There’s still no excuse to lose to Middle Tennessee.

Yup. And that was a month ago, is in the rearview and is pointless to talk about as the outcome can't change.

Learn from it and move on. Fans bringing it up weekly as some retort to everything; enough already.

"Yay, we just got the best corner in the nation!"

"So what, we lost to Middle Tennessee State."

What good does that do?

These kind of bad years happen, especially when there is as big of a shift in...everything...within a program after years of negligence.

If you're a fat, out of shape, unhealthy, lazy, dilapidated shell of your former self...its going to hurt when you start going back to the gym...you're going to have wild hunger pangs, going to be hangry, going to have some ****ty days at the gym, going to have days you want to quit, you're going to fvck up and eat like **** sometimes.

My heart and best intentions told me this team would be better with just a functional coach. But the facts and the evidence tell me it is not.

If Mario is the guy to get us back to some semblance of respectability in college football or if he's just our Ron Zook...this is going to take some time. Its been a clown show for far too long to expect otherwise and we all should have known better, present company included.

But today...today was one of those good days at the gym. THE PROCESS can be tough...but today was a good day.

Lets go 'Canes.

Just let the man do his job. If you’re a fan of the program, you’re a fan of Mario. He’s literally the definition of a Miami Hurricane. Literally. Just let the man do his job. I’d have loved to have beaten MTSU and Duke too. I get it. But let the man do the job he was brought here to do. That takes longer than 7 games. Support him and support his kids.

The sooner we get all of manny’s bums out of here the better.
Pretty sure Mario is on it. He let it slip in the postgame press conference the other day. Like the fans, he seems to understand the current crop are still part of the old rot. If you’re not willing to work, you’re gone. Support won’t be unconditional. That “unity kills adversity” nonsense being trumped by the toxic positivity crowd don’t seem to get this.

I never had a problem with Mario, even though he was 3rd on my list. I knew he was an excellent recruiter from the time spent under the 2 best. My problem is some of the staff, and my worries about Mario not swallowing his pride, in regards to changing schemes dramatically, both in Off & Def...
What is it about Steele that you dislike from a schematic standpoint? Also who else besides Gattis are you not high on? Genuine curiosity.

No doubt..I don’t see anyone “excusing” it. But here’s the thing bro..nobody gives af. Mario took over a **** situation. We ain’t been **** in 20 years..TEAR the **** down and lay the foundation
