After looking over some comments about Florida recruits, I decided to look at the past 19 years of the NFL draft and see where all the Cane draftees were from... Our best years always included a healthy dose of out of state players... A few positions always consisted of key out of state players (QB, TE, OL, DL) while the state of Florida provided tons of RBs, WRs, & DBs.

Oh Look...

Our best teams had A LOT of stud from out of state...

Maybe, just maybe the FL 3 star = everyone else 4 star is a dumb argument. And this make believe world that we only dominated because of Florida HS players is all just a myth.

I see little red in the recruiting classes that did VERY little winning here.

I been saying we need to start getting in that LA, TX area because guys like DJ Dallas are just sitting with more Cane in 'em then these diva kids from Florida.

Oh and let's not forget some of our best players now are from out of state. (Willis, Jeff Thomas, Dallas )

Definitely feel like we should go after highly rated kids in essentially 'one horse towns'. Recruit at home and attempt to poach from those smaller places

Main thing I see here is that we gotta get more guys drafted in the early rounds. Perception is everything...

Talent is talent anywhere. But I think when ppl use the 3star argument it has/should more to do with evaluating the talent produced by fla nationally. Power 5 talent and np5. In some cases it’s true. Some 3star guys down here would def stick out more in areas/states with less comp. but I don’t think we have to go out of Florida too much to build the majority of the roster. That’s what this staff means. U can find a Redwine or Jackson or Garvin down here and with a couple years of development make him into 5star down the road. But u also want to find nationally ranked guys. As far as that list, correct me if I’m wrong but most of those OOS guys were the cream of the crop nationally? We cherry picked. But the core of the roster were Florida guys

not alot of first rounders recently and thats not because of development thats because of evals.

With that 01 team he aint losing to Duke......and he weakens other opponents just based off recruiting. We wouldnt get out talented by anyone

Bro we arent going to out recruit Bama, UGA etc. butch cant even win conference usa wat da **** make yall think he gone get in the CFP. He never won 10 games at carolina. Mack brown did it 3 times.

We will never know cause we will hire al golden again thats how retarded this admin is

His evals were good. But his gameday coaching is as bad if not worse than Richt.
Are we comparing his first stint here? Wasn’t that his go around as a HC? He also made UNC legitimate conference contender. They weren’t going to win but they had a sick defense and was in it every year he was coach.
