Recruiting impact of Keeping Golden

Often times you see a big drop in recruiting when you fire a coach due to kids who are committed looking around. We are having the opposite situation here where kids are going to decommit because we are KEEPING our coach. Unfortunately the administration just doesn't understand what is going on in the community surrounding this program right now. Al Golden is completely toxic.

This is only exacerbating the problem. We will have several major decommitements in the coming days.....starting with Dexter Williams and Jordan Scarlett for 2015. There will be others.

The termination of Al Golden is inevitable. Hopefully he realizes this and flees on his own before his brand is further tarnished by an even worse year in 2015 since our administration lacks the requisite testicular fortitude to do what is inevitable. Let's hope saving a couple of million on a buyout is worth what it's going to cost everywhere else.

This class is in shambles. There's no momentum locally and he's gonna lose some of the kids already committed.

Golden won't flee anywhere. His career is in the toilet. Hes gonna steal every nickel he can from UM.

This is the biggest concern. We are really submarining two classes: this one and the next one. The next coach will not have the talent he needs.

The Administration has made some of the most foolish, wasteful, dumbass financial decisions they could possibly make, and this Golden buyout is yet another in a long list of stupid moves.

Good thing they're in academia - if they were in the private sector, they'd all be in the welfare line.

I think the football program should take the UAB course and shut it down for the next several years until they decide when they are serious. I hope the program shuts down.

Because of location alone the U will always get its choice of at least 3 stars without even trying.

Nope, and it's shameful. Instead of hiring a guy who could come in and least hold the line for 2015, but get that big first year boost for 2016, which would put us in a great position, we're essentially killing off the program for solid four years. We could recruit a good coach this year because there's solid talent on the team and great potential recruiting, but forget it after that. We're done. Unreal what they are doing.

It's ALWAYS been that way at UM. Everything is so poorly run.

There is no such thing as the "U". That died in 2005 against LSU. Sorry to inform you on that.

That was awful, but I think this program started going downhill when Terry Porter's yellow flag hit the desert floor in that awful Fiesta Bowl. I have hated all things Ohio with a relentless passion ever since then, especially their nasty, entitled fans. Knew that night I would never live to see another Canes' NC. #### them!

The solution to our issue is so simple and attainable. So painful.
