Our staff when they think they might get a recruit because they were slightly receptive to their pitch..

I don’t believe any insiders. I’m the guy who sit there with a beer and whatever happens happens.

every year .. wash rinse repeat .. these grown ups swear they know better than teenagers are thinking in their own minds and where they’re leaning.
The Miami insider is dead! Let these kids pick schools and stay off their phones and out their DM’s

Thanks for the update OP. Not surprised with the non-committal decisions from these young pups when it comes to Miami football. Overall, not expecting much down the stretch from the coaches securing additional elite players. Of the 21 presently committed, and let’s hope they stick, about 15 appear to be must haves. It’s just not enough.

BTW, the biggest Fail this recruiting cycle is the OL recruitment. Without question the biggest area of need and thus far it’s a D-. Even if they land the Jax kid it’s no better than a C. This is not going to get it done. Period.

Let’s face it Manny is not a great recruiter and he didn’t have the year he needed to be taken serious by any top recruits.

LVille while not good record-wise there is a positive vibe with the program because they improved their win total over the previous year.

FSU moves on from a failing regime so that gives them a positive vibe as well.

We just under achieved and the media and fans are calling for firings. They kids aren’t deaf they are seeing and hearing it from other coaches.

Manny needs to be very careful not to lose this team. He’s throwing the current players under the bus to try and land new kids saying stuff like “they don’t work as hard, they’re aren’t as talented, they don’t care enough.” But when he doesn’t land these kids he’s (and even if he did) he’s still reliant on the kids on the team.

I think we all are at this point.
If you're not miserable over the current state of the Canes, you were never a fan. Honestly, maybe there are some people who just never saw a good Canes team or are rah-rah fanboys no matter what, but something is missing in your fandom if this is all "ok" to you.

How exactly is he not?

We have the 11th ranked class by player average in a 6-6 season, say what you want about his coaching but clearly he sells the program well and relates to the kids if we have a good class after this ****hole of a season

So a 6-7 team is going to close with a top 15 class? I'll take it.

honestly not sure why people are destroying the staff about recruiting when you put it into perspective with how the season went. I’d rather have top 10 class and gone to the ACc championship but here we are. All things considered. The wheels haven’t completely fallen off. Next year is make or break for this staff.
