Was it Ole Miss where Saban was busting Mario’s chops about a flea flicker and was like “and then you did this bull****”

Whatever game it was yeah you could tell they have a great relationship

U listen to the pregame show before the games and they were making their picks, Saban was riding HARD for those guys, he said the comments before playoffs about if we got in we would be a problem and before a couple playoff games and championship he picked up.. I forgot which game he mentioned Jason Taylor and Mario, said those are his guys and how would dominate in trenches..
 
I guess maybe Mario would have to win championship so he would be able to look back on and laugh about it but I cant wait for an authentic sitdown where he can genuinely explain wtf happened in that GT game.. I still need answers, lol

I personally didn’t know hardly anything about his coaching background so that naturally led to some of my skepticism. After doing some research, I felt a bit more comfortable but with the previous head coaching disasters, my PTSD rang some alarms.

Like his brother told him “If not you, who the **** else is going to do it?” There were many fans that expressed the same sentiment. Mario has mentioned several times that was his wake up call. Hind sight is 20/20, but looking back, I believe he was the right hire at the right time.

Great stuff by Mario. Used to think he was a meathead but he's super intelligent, adaptable, and on top of every aspect of this program like his life depends on it. He's got a quick sense of humor too and will rib Saban and not give a ****...dudes an alpha dog and knows it but in a humble way. We're lucky to have him here.

FYI: Saban recently ranked UM as No. 12 in the country.

Yeah I wasn’t wild about it but I felt he would significantly raise the floor of the program which was good

Once you could see the overall investment in play I was like ok yes this is good because Mario was going to need a lot of help (since he wasn’t a offensive or defensive specialist)

I hated the idea of Kiffen. When people were saying him and it was serious I was like ok yes please Mario 🤣
 
Isn’t he one of the guys that said something really sarcastic after ST26 death? If so, ***** him forever.
