Really good article on Fedora's philosophy

“I’ve never been just stubborn in that there’s only one way to do it,” Fedora said during an interview with Inside Carolina.
What a novel concept! Great article

See and this is the difference between adjusting to your opponent's weakness and being "multiple" and haphazard. This is huge for me as an offense nerd.

I like this guy. By his own words will adapt to his personnel and scheme to beat a defense. Not just "let's line up and beat the guy across from you" but "let's study what the guy across from you is bad at and use it against him" week to week.

No more "30 years" stuff?

Edit: This is a il more insightful regarding Fedora's way of things than the OP's link...

Great stuff on him and his openness to adjustments. Attitude-wise,....mirrors Manny just as he alluded to.

A lot of similarities between Elijah Hood and Dj Dallas and Cam Davis and Logan for UNC. Fedora never hang a Linguard at UNC.

Funny hearing him talk about plays where you don’t have to block anybody. Those are exactly the type of quick-hitting plays I would think about when Richt would say “all 11 guys have to do their job, and if one guy messes up then the play doesn’t work.” What an unnecessary burden to place on your offense.

“If I ever get a chance, I’m not going to just bang my head against the wall. If a team says we’re going to stop the run, then I’m going to throw it. And if a team says we’re going to stop the pass, then I’m going to run it.”

He is the bizarro world Richt. I’m sold.

First thing I thought as well.

Thoughts

QB Williams / Perry / Weldon

RB Dallas / Davis / Lingard / Burns / Martin

WR Pope / Harley / Ezzard

WR Hightower / Payton / Wiggins

WR Mallory / Njoku / Hodges

TE Jordan / Irvin / Polendey / George

I forgot about Mitchell Trubinski. He put a QB in the NFL in the 1st round. A return to QB-U if he is the OC at Miami???

Why Mallory at WR?
