Do some changes need to happen on offense? Yes but Diaz is dealing with better situations(talent and depth) at every position on his side of the ball and still allowing below average qbs to look like heisman contenders against us meanwhile Richt has a sh*tty oline at times, sh*tty inaccurate qb , lack depth at running back, receiver and tight end not to mention loss of best rb, receiver and tight end. Hard to overcome all of that. Long season and glads it’s over. Its still all about the U, good season and it didn’t finish the way we wanted it too but we made strides and have a great recruiting class coming in. On to 2018
Reality is both sides of the ball showed significant weaknesses and your excuse-filled post is not sufficient quality for a new thread.
Explain to me... if there are significant talent gaps on our roster still...especially with our three best offensive players out, how this is an “excuse”? I get folks are upset, and I don’t believe the coaching staff is above criticism, but the “no excuses” mindset is a bit bizarre.
I have been on the boards for a long time.... I get the boards are emotionally driven, but I am always baffled when legitimate reasons are offered and folks reject them because they believe the only answer seems to be to win all the time.
What I saw was a coaching staff with no confidence in their QB trying to figure out some way to score... and a defense that was good enough to win until they got gassed at the end of the game. I also saw unbalanced officiating that we are not talented enough to overcome yet.
