Kiffin and Mario were the guys we should have went after when Diaz was hired, stakes much higher now, Ole Miss and Oregon and going to throw more cash at them, we know cheap **** Miami ain't getting into a bidding war and paying Diaz's buyout. Unless those guys just absolutely hate the area/school, Herman, a G5 coach, a fired coach, keeping Diaz, are more realistic.

It’s something, I guess. I want to see how much action they take on Monday. Do they fire Blake and manny? Will then open up their coffers to pay for a top notch coach?

They’ve never broken out the P&L in their discussions, or allowed AD access to general funds. I’ve never seen a fundraiser like this for the general AD.

Talk.. It is cheap and I don’t trust them either. I’m trying to be positive. If they don’t do it right this time I won’t be wasting my time anymore.

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen Dykes’ name thrown out there. I mean it wouldn’t happen and is too far outside the box for us to even explore, but interesting name. Like most top notch X and O’s guys on offense though, that defense would worry me as well as the staff he’d bring but we could and probably will do a lot worse. I truly don’t think the majority of the big names that this board is tossing around will be realistic at the end of the day, lol. Guys like Mario, Lane, etc...I’m skeptical.
We would win games with Dykes, and if we could invest some $$ to bring a defensive staff with him, that could have us sitting pretty. He is still relatively young, a QB/offensive guru and would have us in Texas HEAVY. JMO

It really feels like if Mario says no, and we'll make it interesting, we're completely ****ed.

Sonny would do great here, but I think he wants a Big XII job.

If he doesn’t get the TCU job, then I believe he’ll stay at SMU, because despite them staying in the AAC he has unlimited support from their Dallas boosters & even though they’re basically a small school private school they can still recruit really well locally & they don’t have to worry about financial restraints.

Straight up, lol. I’m already ready for it. The man is about to be in the CFP with the dark skinned Malik Rosier and an absolute stud waiting in the wings for next year as well as another top notch class on deck. Like when you really sit back and think about that sh*t its like bruh, what?!! He is going to come here?? Dykes would be cheap (I think lol), and again if you invest on the defensive side staff wise with him...
Again, I just can’t see us doing much better than a **** good G5 coach if Mario ultimately turns us down.

I’m just talking though, I don’t know shiet.
