Realistic Options

Just got back to my room from Doak and had some time to think during the drive. Who are some realistic replacements?

Mario ain’t leaving a likely playoff team.
Kiffin ain’t leaving the SEC.
Fickell probably going to the Big Ten.
Miami won’t touch Leach.

Who is a realistic option? Unless we find a hidden gem, this program appears to be headed for several more years of purgatory. I’m not hopeful at all.
Bill OBrien
Hugh Freeze
Joe Brady
Ed orgeron
Tom Herman
Billy Napier
Marcus Freeman
Joe Moorehead
Dan Lanning
Mike Elko

Unfortunately I don’t see them touching Freeze. I think Kiffin would go elsewhere first. Just don’t see it for us. If we aren’t getting Mario then who knows.

LSU isn’t a top team?

Florida?
I don't think so. But I also don't know your definition of a top team.

UGA, Alabama, and A&M are the three best teams in the SEC. And in a few years, OU will be in that mix.

Lane with UF or LSU still doesn't approach UGA and Alabama level.

But if Lane goes to UM, the path to the playoff is MUCH MUCH easier.

Both teams have literally won multiple national and conference championships in relatively recent history.

Anthony Richardson vs TVD/Garcia. I doubt Kiffin wants to start a new HC job with a bad QB. Generally means a terrible first year and lose any goodwill with the fans, and then pressure is dialed up big time in year 2 and 3.
That’s a good point, unless he wants to stay in the SEC at one of the bigger programs.
