I can't imagine that Olsen will be with this team much longer and that leaves us very thin at the position going into next year.. With Rosier being RS this year the only QB with any experience will be Kaaya.. Once again Golden is going to have to go out there and try to find another Heaps.. This is no fault of the coaching staff and things were finally starting to come together at the position... With Kaaya , Olsen, Rosier, and then Lawson coming in next year, the position was starting to look much stronger.. Then of course we have a verbal from 2016 prospect Allison.. Now this Immature, & Spoiled kid Olsen goes out and puts the team in awkward position going into next year.. If Golden does keep Olsen? Golden will take a lot of **** for it, but he would be doing it for the team and not for Olsen.. I believe in 2nd chances & maybe a 3rd but this kid doesn't understand the Opportunity that's been given to him....

Dont think you go get a 5th year senior QB when you have a #1 starter, a RS freshmen back up and a Freshmen. Most teams have a lineup similar to that.

The thing that really helps 2016 is the early commitment of QB Jack Allison. QB's usually stick and with him in the bag, the skill guys are gonna wanna play with him. Now if we can get Gibson somehow this year then this class might get decent. Irvin and Johnson I think are coming but ya never know.

Scarlett is coming. If Walton stays in the '16 class then I think we can keep Williams, Cronkite, and Scarlett with Williams being an athlete playing reciever and running back. Cronkite only wants two running backs in this class so it's important that Walton maybe stays in his class. Williams seems to be on board with the athlete role.

Recruiting.. . trending up

Now if this ************ would fix the god **** defense, we might be able to recruit DT's

G-d forbid Kaaya is hurt what experience do you have behind him? None.. Unless Golden blows Rosier's RS, we won't have a QB on the roster with Game Day experience if the the Worst should happen.. Maybe Williams can get a Medical RS for this year? Then our problems are solved....

Are you suggesting Cronkite recommits or have you just not been to the recruiting board in a while?

This is true, but a lot of teams would be in this position. ****, if Dorsey went down, Derrick Crudup would have been the starting QB. Look at Ohio State. Who on FSU has experience if Winston went down? Obviously you want experience there, but it's not an uncommon situation.

1. Ryan Williams is not coming back next yr.
2. Rosier shirt is not going to be blown.
3. Olsen will not be back.
4. I would expect that Golden will find a transfer QB. He will sell him on what if Kaaya gets hurt.
5. I wouldn't rule out getting a second QB commit for 2015.

Do the Mods not care when a poster cannot express himself w/o profanity. Especially on a university-related site. Amazing!

Can Williams redshirt if we don't play him this year?

For the record, yes, we do allow people to use foul language when posting on this site. There is a curse filter that each poster has access to that will allow them to have any and all foul language blocked from what you see. Go to the 'settings' tab at the top of the screen and follow the instructions from there.

Crow is still on the roster also.

Bama had Sims and the rest of the roster was inexperienced QB's so they convinced Coker he could compete with Sims for the starting QB spot... FSU has 1 QB with a little experience and if Jimbo is comfortable with that, Great!!! But if Olsen is history? Then we have not 1 QB with any game time experience and if I'm Golden I'm searching for a 5th year Sr.

This isn't the NFL in relation to the backup QB. The doomsday situation described by the OP while not desirable isn't uncommon in college football. Williams apparently has no interest in a medical redshirt although I don't see what rush he is in to leave the team if Kaaya remains healthy and the starter this year. Why takeover Heaps' mop-up time this year if you're Williams? Not like the NFL will be calling.

Rosier RS'ing will help this year he should be a capable backup next year and while it'd be ideal to RS Lawson we may not have that luxury unless we get another Heaps type transfer

Hey lets not over look adding 2015 QB Ryan "sunshine" Stanley to the mix? He is high on Miami and won the elite 11 Golden Gun award. if Stanley can graduate early an enroll for spring I say offer him. He an Lawson would be a very good pairing to add quality depth at QB if Olsen does in fact leave the team. Lawson is having a very good Senior year so UM may not need to add anyone, but you like the extra insurance.

Stanley's only issue is his lack of height to see the entire field from the pocket, he is listed at 6'2" but I think he is more like 6 ft.
