"Lil brother" is all grown up from when we were younger. It ain't about being scared. It is about having some appreciation and respect for what our up-coming quality opponent has done in the ACC and on the national level this last decade. Miami is a great team and probably the only one's on Clemson's schedule that have the greatest chances of bringing them down. The task is big--Clemson is running a well-oiled machine. They are comprised of well-conditioned, well-coached athletes. These aren't those fat, out-of-shape, heavy-breathing turds from Tally we're dealing with. Each position group will need to have a perfect game in order to win this one (no dumb penalties, no dropped passes). We should enjoy it. For 3 hours, Miami will become everyone outside of the ACCs' rooting interest.

But money talks. You profess to not be scared. Well put up. Lay no less than $1000 on the line and show us your receipt.

The game was in Chapel Hill, not Clemson.
 
I think the lack of a full crowd will have a bigger impact on their home field advantage than we think . Its crucial we don't come out flat
 
If Lashlee unleashes all the trick plays and gadget plays we know he has up his sleeve and we keep on pushing at a high pace that could help us jump to a big lead.

Obviously we must win the TO battle and not do stupid penalties as has been mentioned many times on CIS.

This may also be the game we pull out some Special Teams tricks. We know our punter is chomping at the bit to run on 4th down. Maybe a fake FG like we did against Florida, but this time we execute it without a penalty.

We need to throw everything at them if we want to win let alone blow them out as the OP is expecting.

If we do get on a roll and we do play with confidence maybe we can beat them convincingly but they are a very experienced team with guys who know how to win so based on that my default mode of thought is that this is going to be a war until the final whistle.

I agree but that pillow talk ain't the time. We know Clemson is great.

2020 has taught me to expect the unexpected.

And Ice Cube has taught me if you're a scared ************ go to church.

Don't agree bout depleted! But clemson's wr don't scare me its etienne opening it up f4 da wr's that scare me.

1) defense holds them under 30 (im not getting passed at Baker if we give up 28, but more than 35 and we probably can't win)
2) offense needs to stay ahead of the sticks and protect the ball when we don't score; we won't score every possession, but when we don't make sure we win field position
3) win the turnover battle by 2+, especially avoiding muffed punts

And cut down on the penalties. Givning 80+ yards to UL and FSU is one thing, do that against Clemson and it's lethal

Here's what I gotta say, ***** Clemson and that redneck yabba dabo swinney, when you got competent coaching, it doesn't matter who you play. Here's what I know, that brent veneables guy has always been overrated, he's solid but way overrated. Watch what happens to trevor, if we score a touchdown 1st and diaz and blake go into attack mode early, especially if they have to drive at least 70 yrds, good luck with that Clemson. This the game you want to be in so I'm quite sure guys are going to be amped up, all manny and blake need to do is force trevor to be a pocket passer, shutdown the run, and they'll be in trouble.

I aint goin nowhere near this far. They ARE beatable and I'd be happy leaving death valley up by 1 point. But beating them down? I aint touching that one.
