Yo, you're killing me B, golden sucks man, get over it.
I'm not a fan of Golden, but I think we have a talented team returning, and I think people want to put 100% of the blame on the coach for last season when there's a lot more that went in to our 6-7 record than just "scheme."
You do know we lost 3 games before FSU right? Like getting run over. Oh and that bull**** *** excuse about giving up after FSU.....didn't they go into FSU 7-0 the year before then the season went to ****? That is no **** excuse, it happened before. It is El Foldo job to make sure that didn't happen again. Bit alas he preaches on being the same everyday and he is a loser everydayI know I'm in the minority on this one... but I actually think Golden will get it turned around at Miami. I think he'll succeed reasonably well here, and go on to another head coaching job.
Two years ago we won 9 games. Last year, we were in every game we played, and the only reason for our record IMO is that the team quit on the coaches and on each other after the FSU game. That should have been a 9/10 win season. We didn't only win 6 because of coaching, that happened because our players gave up. It is what it is.
Next year, we'll be even more talented than last year. I think a 10 win, ACC type season is very possible. And if that happens, you add in the 2016 class, and we've got this thing pointed in the right direction FINALLY.
Maybe that's just my over-optimism, but I could see it playing out that way.
Maybe it is Golden's fault that the team quit TWO YEARS IN A ROW after losing to FSU. But then again, maybe that's on the players too for quitting.
A coach can't MAKE you play hard. These kids that gave up.... that's on them. That speaks to who they are as much as it speaks to who this coaching staff is.
Yet another person blaming players for something that has repeatedly happened under this staff. Same coaches, different players same results...that's the coaches.
Lol no, its not no **** attitude. 3 consecutive loser coaches that's what's been since the Coker years. Competence is what we haven't had. Teachers, schemers, developers of talent, gameplanners. All lacking. Not no attitude, not no swag, all of that is peripheral. Its gross incompetence from the top down. SimpleYou do know we lost 3 games before FSU right? Like getting run over. You mean the 9 win team that beat
1st game Florida Atlantic ???
2nd game Florida team that finished 4-8
3rd game Savannah State
4th game South Florida team that finished 2-10 (REALLY???)
5th game Georgia Tech team that finished 7-6 and had loss to BYU
6th game North Carolina team that finished 7-6 with a loss to East Carolina
7th game Wake Forest (4-8 squad)
8th game pounded by FSU 41-14 (oh a real team exposed us)
9th game Va Tech (Logan Thomas is still running up the middle on us)
10th game Duke (took another L)
11th game Virginia (2-10 team)
12th game Pitt (7-6 team-lololol they loss to NAVY??????LOLOOL)
And we ended the year getting throat slashed by Mr. Teddy Bridgewater
So again we have an average coach that has an average scheme..
AND HE MADE NO ADJUSTMENTS LOLOL
That's football ...a game of inches...
Yawn.
EVERY team in college football plays a schedule loaded with cupcakes. Every one. Don't act like it's only Miami. 9 wins is 9 wins. Next.
Other teams may be padding the schedule also. You think that's gives miami a pass? Lmao. Bottom line is golden's body of work speaks for itself. He's never beaten a team worth a dam.
Notice how you failed to mention another team like Lsu might win 9 games but they actually beat a couple teams with a pulse and they have a coach who is proven. That's the difference. If you think 9 wins are the same across the board you are a lost cause.

You know they actually measure strength of schedule, right? Like, that's a documented statistic you can go look up from an unbiased source.
Miami has had pretty decent schedules. I'm not buying that argument at all.
No one quit on anyone. They are just not good coaches. No idea how to put players on position to beat any decent team. After 50 games that's quite clear.

Ok then Name all the great teams golden has beaten in his career. Name all the teams with 10 wins he's beaten?
Yea miami has played tough schedules lol. Got smashed by any team worth a dam but hey they played and beat a 9 win Cincy team witha. Fluffed up schedule you just talked smack about. Yea that makes sense.

Cokers influence on this team is long gone. Dumb suggestion. What was USC's attitude before carrol got there? The were losing strong for 10 years basically...comes comes in and they win 10 games In year 2 and never look back. Same with ou when stoops got there. Foolish to bring up Coker.

Would it have been better if we would have beat Nebraska but lost to Cincinnati? LOL 9 wins is 9 wins. You are what your record says you are.
Could we have done better? Sure. Would have been much better if we didn't have a team full of kids who quit, and then who whine to the media once they leave (or have their mommy do it for them, in some cases).
My mom stopped fighting my battles for me when I was like 9 years old. But we got too many whiners and crybabies and mammas boys on our team right now, and that's the kind of team that quits two years in a row because they can't handle losing to a rival.
This team needs to toughen up.

Look I wasn't gonna call anyone out by name, because that ain't right. But since you brought up Duke's mom, we all know she was talking about Tracy Howard as the kid who would transfer if he didn't have to sit out a year.
I mean, who did she host her dinners for? It was the CB's and RB's. Tracy and Duke came in together as the top recruits in their class, Tracy has had trouble staying on the field.... it's not hard to put 2 and 2 together.
To Tracy Howard, I'd just say this. If he spent half as much time working on his game as he does *****ing about the coaching staff, he might not be in danger of losing his starting position, during his senior year no less, to a younger kid from Tennessee.
Corn Elder, by the way, is a kid who has done nothing but work his *** off since he got to Miami. They even switched his position. Did he *****?

there's not a lot else he can do. Kid knows he has a coaching staff that is not using him properly. He can't freelance or he gets benched and looks like crap in the process. He's likely losing hope because he knows this staff is ruining any potential career he had. He can't transfer because this staff will hold him hostage. He can't even complain or he ends up on the bench. I'm normally the type to say the players need to shut up and play, but this staff is the exception because they are ruining careers and future earnings.
Ed reed didn't have a coaching staff mismanaging, playing him in positions for failure and otherwise ruining his career. They knew what he was good at and let him do his thing. Not this staff. Under this staff, we might never know who ed reed was. Thank god chick dominated at the senior bowl stuff, because who knows how much money he already lost thanks to this staff.
You say it is the players as part of the problem but don't acknowledge how many of them are succeeding now that they are away from this staff. That argument would only hold up with the first group that left after year 1.
Yawn.
