RB #s

Don't know if it was backs, oline or coaches but running game seemed to suck this year by Miami standards. If Duke had not been born a Cane, Golden's entire time here would have had the worse running game I can remember at Miami (once Miller and James left.) I think we missed too many top backs the last 3 years to sit on what we have.

If you can get Homer and Whaley, you take Homer and Whaley. Regardless of how many backs you have on the roster.

OK sure we take Whaley if he wants in. But why do you guys think we get Whaley? When is the last time we landed a stud from Texas? We've been a middle of the road acc team this kids whole life. The brand is weak right now. I'm assuming we don't get Whaley or another top 10 back and I'm saying 1 back is probably the right amount numbers wise.

Talks everyday with Richt. We got him.

Homer and whaley, tbh i dont see them getting too much playing time unless someone transfers which will probably happen might be gus

I don't see anything special in Whaley.

Take Homer and focus on next year with Burns etc....

You don't see anything special about a guy with his size / strength hitting full speed quickly while running north / south? We will just agree to disagree on this one.

He's exactly the type of RB Richt loved at Georgia and has the frame to add more weight and strength.

I mean I wouldn't be upset if we get him either lol

I just prefer Hamilton.

I'll take a dade guy any day over a texas player

Fair enough.

I don't know how much of his film people watched. It's pretty much north and south for the first half of his tape, then you get to him running around, through, and catching the ball. Combine that with his junior and other film, he's certainly more than just a big and fast guy running through holes. I can't fault him for getting through a hole and flying through a secondary before they even realize he's there.

Whaley could be used similar to the way Richt used Chubb, so could Gus. Not comparing them to Chubb but both are also big backs with pretty good speed...

No way we turn away Whaley if he wants in. Richt has an excellent track record on running backs and saw something in Whaley while at UGA

I’m cool with just Homer. If whaley wants in let him. Other than that we don’t need anyone else and just focus on studs next year

I agree! I think the added competition would make that position great again! I'll trust Richt will do what's right.

IMO Gus switches to FB/HB and we actually use all 3 rbs Gray, Walton , and Yearby freshmen redshirts and 2017 we pick up a few

All of our current RBs are average at best. None of them have shown either the speed or versatility to be classified as elite at this level. Coach Richt has always had elite RBs at GA and there's not doubt that he will be improving our RBs roster and running game this year. Even though our OL was not very good this year, an elite RB like Dalvin Cook would have still gotten a lot of yards behind it. Dude just has that second gear and overdrive that elite RBs normally have.

Don't see an elite back on the roster or in the class. Having 6 "good" RBs is OK but it's a lot better to have that 1 elite guy. I'm expecting the OL to take a gigantic leap forward this next year, which should make these guys look better. It'd be hard for anyone to run behind some of the push they (didn't) get last year.
