FSU chose to go all out to stop the run and they paid the price in the passing game. Run game will be fine
Just like last year when they sold out to stop the pass. Great teams can stop both, at least enough to get the job done. Average teams, like FSU, have to sell out to stop one or the other. They can stop one, but they have to hope the other team shoots themselves in the foot. You know, like FSU thinks they do.

Need to get him to the edges. If it’s possible in our scheme
Nothing personal but I’ve been reading this for like 3 years now

Anyone ever consider we run tight splits and keep things between the tackles and give our OL help from the TEs because we actually aren’t a great run blocking OL?

Or do we think Mirabal and Mario are elite coaches that also don’t know the strengths and weaknesses of their OL and have Dawson consistently call plays that go against what we are good at?

Genuinely asking

My genuine answer is we want to stay ahead of the sticks at all costs and try to avoid holds and tackles for loss. But against a team with equal to better or talent than us, I truly believe moving the football will be a struggle. We are just too easy to defend on a lot of downs. Just my 2 cents

That’s fair. I don’t know what the answer is specifically

But do we really think Dawson/Mario/Mirabal have never discussed this?

I just constantly read about how great MM are at coaching OL and they’ve got their fingerprints on the offense but yet in 3 years no one has ever said “maybe we should run it outside?”

If people like us feel that then are they just not good coaches?

Seems you can’t have it both ways to me

Gonna be a long bye week
