So some of you might want to slow your Lyle nonsense. Mario yesterday took time to praise Lyle and said clearly he was the #1 guy vs Notre Dame for a reason even tho they consider all 3 co-starters to a degree. Dawson also was very enthusiastic about getting him mixed into the game.

Mark Walton was given the starting job after averaging 3.5 ypc.

Jaylan Knighton was given the starting job after averaging 4.0 ypc.

So Lyle starting after averaging 7.4 ypc hardly seems as weird.

I believe each of those coaching staffs were genuinely excited and believed in those RB's.

I believe their on-field results will look similar.
