RB Delay / jet sweeps

These cats play too much Madden. As if there is some magic play that will help our OL get an actual push in the run game.

And if you don't think there are receivers open in the passing game, I don't know what to tell you.

Then why did the coaches make the adjustments for VT and ND last year? Was it to possibly help out the OL/run game? Did it work? Oh look, it did.

34 carries - 210 - 2 TDS - 6.2 avg (vs VT)
42 carries - 237 - 3 TDs - 5.6 avg (vs ND)

Remember we changed the zone read blocking scheme against VT. Instead of blocking their all-American DT, we let him straight through to crash on the RB, while our guard and center worked to the next level. Worked beautifully.

We also threw in jet sweep concepts in both of those games. And it worked. Both defenses were on their heels all game and we ran the ball down their throats.

You think it's a coincidence that those 2 games were arguably our 2 best rushing performances of the year? Against 2 quality defenses to boot.

Such an exaggeration. Wide open all the time? Gtfoh

Go watch the sky cam from LSU game. Outside of that final drive in the 4th quarter we didn't have wide open WRs all game.

It’s not an exaggeration. Not sure what you are watching but there are wide receivers wide open not only against LSU but in all of the losses last year as well. Perhaps you should re-watch the games or review hurricane vision’s game breakdowns.

I like the jet sweep front side with a tunnel screen on the back side. C-BSG-BST is in screen mode while PST-PSG and HB are in jet sweep mode. RB lead blocks and slot (backside) gets jet sweep. WR's stalk block. QB reads the backside, if the flat defender rolls with the jet motion throw the screen, if the flat defender just walks in and sits- give the jet.

Richt needs to watch the chiefs and how they use tyreek hill. That needs to be Jeff Thomas

Andy Reid just plays a lot of madden bro, Richt is a far better offensive guru than Andy.

At least that’s what caneswang3 thinks.

I did not notice that. At least something that we were bad at last year seems to have improve so far.
BTW, in the first 2 games we are way more versatile in the Red Zone then we were all of last year. Which is why we have scored TD's on all Red Zone possessions versus the awful percentage we were last year.

We never open up the middle of the field. Slot WRs never slip over the middle for big gains. Outside of the occasional JT deep post, we throw bubble screens, RPO slants, and deep sideline 1v1 balls. That's it.

We don't "open up the middlle of the field" because our QB either doesn't see it well and has trouble with accuracy. Rosier has trouble putting the ball on target on bubble screens. When he throws past 5 yards into the middle of the field I get nervous.

No.. The “wide open” by our fans has become hilarious stupid

Our offense is painful to watch. Richt does not create any mismatches or window dressing to confuse the defense. He's relying on his players to beat/ out talent the opposing players. Which is why we struggle against similarly talented teams.

Dude he brings the rb from pistol to beside the qb ......every play to not let the defense know where the rb will align.

Are you not entertained? Thats major window dressing, you didn’t see all the Toledo players acting confused ? They were trying to call a timeout from the confusion.

Running motion or sweeps isn’t opening up the play book. It’s very basic, if you can run a zone read or rpo you can devinyekdefinitely do that. It’s jusg eye candy , nothing extra on the qb.

The simplest offenses in the country use this to nauseam.

I don’t trust him to make the right read though..so much is there for the taking and he never capitalizes.

At least we have integrated the fullback drive. Toledo tomato it is still satisfying to pick up 1 critical yard on demand when necessary. Moving forward as opposing teams watch game film it could open up valuable play action passing, which we showed ZERO of today despite rushing for a team total of 200+...
