Yeah it’s so **** easy to fall down that rabbit hole 🤣 I do apologize for adding fuel to the fire
You’re good my man, wasn’t solely directed at you. Just tough going into like 80% of threads on here and it starts with a prospect, four pages later it’s how George Mira Jr. was getting a lap dance in Tootsies while choking someone out with his pinkies

LMAO aye that would be a good story though

I think we’re all in on him. Given how packed together his visit schedule is I really don’t mind being last, especially since it’ll be late week/weekend

I always looked at it as rights of first refusal being last we have the advantage of hearing all his other offers, and he has leverage to better negotiate the best deal for himself.

I’m disappointed…

so was his secretary

Gaby dropped his post visit review. Said Miami got the last visit by design and Martinez and his mother will be in Soflo for that visit.

He likes Miami here aka Crystal Ball
This is our Jordan Addison. Let the kid enjoy his trips, keep any tampering allegations away. I know Ariz on the phone with FRM, details already done.

There will be signs

Damien Martinez will be paying the bills with the ad read on The Bank - "This is Damien Martinez and I want to let you know about our friends at Anidjar & Levine. If you've been in an accident or I trucked you on the field last week, give them a call and let them help"

Exactly as predicted - facts don't change your mind at all.

Walton was held back a grade & reclassified to the class he was supposed to be in. Again - Narrative > Facts

Oregon St was #2 & #6 in Run Blocking . So are you saying Martinez only put up good stats because he had a good OL? I'd say he put up much better stats than Oregon St's 2nd leading rusher the last 2 years because he's just a better runner. But what do you think?

A good OL can only do so much. A RB's talent is more important than his OL (In college, NFL is different).

To prove this point - why do you think Homer & DeeJay were so much better behind similar or worse OL's than Walton?

Nice breakdown. Without seeing any stats I was going to say, to me, Homer was the best we’ve had since Duke. Looks like stats may back that up.

But, this whole Walton obsession on both sides is weird. He wasn’t horrible and he also wasn’t an 1,800 apy potential back either. He was an average back nothing more nothing less.

I don’t want to derail thread anymore than I’ve already done, so last post.

- Was he held back? Sure. Would he still have been a senior in HS in 2015? Yes. Doesn’t change the fact.

- OL rank in 2015? Over 100th in America

So the only time Mark Walton had a top 25 OL (2016) for full season he had a 5.3YPC with 1350 yards & 15TDs. Shocking.

“but what about P5?”
- 957 yards, 8TDs in 9 games (95 YPG)
- 5 games over 100 yards

Answering my Damien Martinez question would be bring this back on topic. But no worries if you don't want to.

And no worries if you don't want to answer my questions about Walton.
I don't blame you.

But let me respond to your final statements for context.

- Was Walton held back? Sure. Would he still have been a senior in HS in 2015? Yes. Doesn’t change the fact.

The fact is Walton was a Senior in HS when he should've been, and a Freshman in college when he should've been. So what's your point here?

- OL rank in 2015? Over 100th in America

If you truly believe OL should be heavily factored in, then:

Wouldn't Yearby in 2015 behind a terrible OL putting up similar numbers to Walton in 2016 behind a much better OL be more impressive to you?

Yearby put up 1275 yds & 8 TD's behind the 117th OL.

Yearby put up similar numbers behind a much worse OL - is that also shocking?

Here's what our RB's did before & after for comparison. Again - Walton was similar to Yearby.
