I taught Ray-Ray back in 7th grade when he was lighting up the middle school flag football league. He is a smart kid (was in honors classes....so test scores shouldn't be an issue), a leader, and he's from a solid family. I'd love to see him as either a rb, db, or wr in the orange and green as I think he is a star.
Back then he was a Noles fan, but he thought highly of the UM program. My instinct from knowing him then is that if he is offered by FSU he would have a hard time passing them up, but that the academic reputation of UM plus the strong fb program keeps us very much in the running. He talked quite a bit about the importance of an education beyond football, which can't hurt our chances.
Another good thing about him is that I would be *shocked* if he was one of those kids that play mind games, switch commitments multiple times, and troll fan bases for attention. He was confident, but also polite and humble. Yes, it seems he is a big time athlete, but he is a better person. I'm rooting for him! Hopes he becomes part of the

family.
