Rashada is suing Napier and a Florida booster.

I still dont believe some of these figures. Rashada wasnt even a 5 star QB. I find it hard to believe Miami NIL offered him $9.5MM
Even if it's closer to $6M it still gives a provides a ton of ammo to the high school QB vs transfer QB topic. If that's the going rate for an unproven 4 star QB with talent but a number of question marks...it's very obvious where the better ROI is.

if it isnt true and UF proves it, they can file a motion to dismiss and will be getting it dismissed or either get it amended (which hes claiming thats part of his damages so hed have to revise his entire damages).

Well false, a motion to dismiss the Court cannot consider extrinsic evidence, judge had to only look at the complaint and assume every allegation is true. Gator would need to file a motion for summary judgment but even that could perhaps be a "fact issue" and summary judgment would be precluded so no easy way out even if the number is not true.

I for one think it is true. 1. why would Rusty and Rashada lie if they could easily depose Ruiz and find out the truth? We clearly offered him something, even if it was 1 million over 4 years those are still real damages since he only got 150k from the gator. So why not just put that number in and 2. if they did or are lying, it erodes the rest of the lawsuit so that seems like an odd thing to lie about. As a bonus 3. Ruiz was our wild wild west cowboy. He had FU type money at the time and was rolling high on being the face of NIL in all of college sports. I could see him throwing out an insane number, but also insane to me we offered 9.5 mil, Gator offered 11 mil and that just got Rashada's interest and they negotiated against themselves from 11 mil to the 13.85 mil.

good point. i dont think hes lying fwiw. im sure UF has seen the docs though or even paper work if that number isnt true, they can easily prove it. as you said, rusty is a beast of an attorney. hes the one that went after Watson fwiw. he isnt filing suits that he cant win

in his suit, he said UM offered 9.5m. i guess we actually did provide that offer.
I’m glad we didn’t get him, but I am so glad we made the offer. Seeing how it all played out because now he can really show that there are possible damages of money he could have had in the first year of this before a little bit of more sanity came across-the-board

Why blame the kids for getting every penny they can? Wouldn't you?
The blame isn’t on the kids. Just the Wild West. They should milk it for every penny, yes. But it’s almost not the real world getting thrown that kind of money and not having played a down of college ball. Guess it’s the new real world. Just wild to me.

is that guaranteed up front or does he have to play a certain amount of time for that
I have not seen the offer/deal so no way for anyone to know for sure but highly highly unlikely. It was likely similar to Rashada's gator deal, monthly payments as long as he resides in Miami and completes certain social media appearances and ****.
