Wheres everyone think we'll move up to? I'm thinking we swap Clemson and get ranked 14th.
I think we will simply be moved to #16. Or #17, depending on how much the voters award USC for beating higher-ranked LSU.
While I've always felt that the pre-season rankings were a crapshoot and should be more subject to "movement" than the late-season rankings, I also feel that a lot of the writers and coaches do not like Miami, will not give a lot of credit to us whipping Florida, and are unlikely to rip up the rankings that they JUST VOTED ON when a lot of teams did not lose.
Also, a lot of teams ahead of us not only won, but won by a big margin.
We should jump F$U, Clemson, and LSU. And we may get jumped by USC. To go any farther THIS WEEK means that writers and coaches are somehow valuing our Florida win more than the wins of other teams.
#18 K-State won 41-6
#17 OK-State won 44-20
#16 Oklahoma won 51-3
#15 Tennessee won 69-3
#12 Utah won 49-0
#11 Mizzou won 51-0
#9 Michigan won 30-10
#8 Pedo State won 34-12
#7 Notre Shame beat a RANKED aTm 23-13
#6 Ole Miss won 76-0
#5 Alabama won 63-0
#4 Texas won 52-0
And while #3 Oregon only beat Idaho 24-14, I don't think the pollsters will put us ahead of Oregon
#2 Ohio Taint won 52-6
#1 UGa beat a RANKED Clemson 34-3
While I think we could/should be rated higher, which of those teams above will the voters allow us to jump? Maybe OK-State? Maybe Pedo State? Oregon is ranked too high for us to edge ahead of them.
#16 is likely. #17 is possible if USC jumps us. #15 would only happen if we jump OK-State. Outside of K-State and Utah, every other school ahead of us is Big 10/SEC. Or Notre Dame. No way in **** that we jump any of those guys.
#14 would be the farthest we could go, jumping F$U/Clemson/LSU, plus K-State and OK-State.
Florida, as much as we hate them...they were UNRANKED. For a reason.
